I've laughed, for years, that every conspiracy theory is ridiculous ...

... but this is the first time I've ever truly felt manipulated by people on the outside of me.

China, America, WHO, etc have all lied or bent the truth which doesn't bother me tbh ...

... but this is the first time I've ever felt truly betrayed by my own government.

And this is someone who suffered, really suffered, during miners strikes, etc.

We're all being duped here and it feels rotten.

I am most certainly not in the know and usually reckon most conspiracy theories are bollocks. However i would bet most of what I own, that we are being fed a load of lies about this Coronvirus... and its origins etc. It is however deadly and it is going to be very difficult to eradicate!

I’ve never trusted any government, it isn’t Tory specific.

I've always believed that every government, of my 6 decades was, basically but not always obviously, on our side and told us a basic truth, not perfect but good enough ... for the first time I feel like I m being duped.

Every lecturn based announcement makes it all feel more and more 1984 ...

WASH YOUR HANDS - STAY AT HOME - OBEY ORDERS!!!

I've never felt uncomfortable before ...

... but I do now and its hard to take.

Don't worry I am sure Boris will come back to save us incorporating Captain Haddock, Tintin, the Thompson Twins and snowie. Where could we posibly go wrong.? And even if it did it would be Corbyn's fault anyway

Let’s not forget Afghanistan, I served in both of those wars multiple times losing close friends and seeing close friends receive life changing injuries.

Ive also lost close friends years later after those wars due to mental issues and continue to do so.

This political point scoring during this current situation is becoming rather tedious in a time when people should be putting their personal bitterness/beliefs to one side. I don’t vote due to my beliefs as they’re all full of ****e.

I'm just waiting to hear more about the TRUE Chinese involvement in this virus. I simply do not believe it was started at a wet market in Wuhan. I cannot get out my head that the country where it started.....a country of 2 billion people is now out of lockdown and their economy is growing. Whereas, Europe and the States are melting down and almost certainly heading for recession or even depression. Lets see what happens when most countries "get back to normal"

Sadly we'll never know the truth.

It's about time that the world put sanctions on China. Go back to self production as much as possible and refuse to trade with them.

I understand that the labour is cheap which is why so much gets made in and purchased from China but i'm sure that the SE Asian countries such as Thailand, Phillipines and Indonesia would love to have the opportunity.

Whack a 300% tariff on anything coming out of China and the investors would look to move their manufacturing elsewhere quick smart.

I actually believe that tariffs (maybe not 300%) will be introduced on Chinese goods after this. I reckon if we have learned anything from this virus is that countries have taught themselves to be more self sufficient. The likes of Spain, France and Italy have had to be self sufficient due to the stringent lockdowns they have had to have. If that happens then I think the EU will have issues going forward, especially when the likes of Germany/Holland/Denmark/Sweden has to fund other countries who have been hit the hardest.

Agree with everything Flanders, Europe will be hit hard.

I don't see a reason why we wouldn't hit them with 300% tariffes other than the fact that most politicians around the world care more about their own job/popularity then actually making tough decisions.

I've never particularly liked Morgan but he's asking relevant questions - our Government has been a ****show before the UK pandemic crises even got underway!
