Not the best players of all time, just ones you enjoyed or would have liked to have seen more of. Mine is mainly based on early childhood fascinations with Serie A and starting to love the game as a kid: Pagliuca Cafu Ayala Maldini Lizerazu Lombardo Redondo De Rossi Letchkov Batistuta Mancini
I'll have to cast my mind back a bit and have a think, but as another fan of Serie A as a boy I liked George Weah, Alen Boksic, Roberto Baggio and Mancini for starters. I had a poster of Baggio on my bedroom wall and used to try and play like him, him and Mancini were my idols. Never copied the mullet though.
Great thread. GK: Schmeichel RB: Cafu LB: Lizarazu CB: Baresi CB: Montero LW: M. Laudrup MC: Boban MC: Zidane RW: Hagi ST: Ronaldo (Brazilian) ST: Vieri Played a bit fast and loose with that midfield combo but **** it, they could work it out.

I love that midfield. Hagi and Laudrup were incredible. Nice strike force too, though Bobo wouldn't get in there for me, far too many good strikers in Serie A back then.
Ta, Michael Laudrup is my favourite player of all time so I was going to get him in. Probably one of the more underrated 'legends' but Ajax, Juve, Barca, Real... he had some career. I particularly like that Barca beat Real 5-0 in el classico with him in the team, then the following year he joined Real who won the same game 5-0 too. Some player. Vieri is just in their for the craic. Again he was just a fun player and character, never the best (although he was a world transfer record holder when Atleti bought him before the 98 world cup, weirdly)
Going to come back to this obviously. Keeper RB Vidic Maldini Roberto Carlos Roberto Baggio Davids Nedved Mancini Weah Boksic
Choosing my second striker was always going to be tough. Mancini was a favourite as I adored Sampdoria. Vialli beside him would have been the obvious choice but I could have easily gone for Ronaldo, Romario, Stoichkov, Baggio, Signori and not to mention another underrated legend Raul. And that's just from the 90's. I honestly don't know if football was better back then or having limited games plus nostalgia just makes it feel that way, but there were so many magnificent players.
GK Ray Clemence RB Javier Zanetti LB Roberto Carlos CB Allesandro Nesta CB Allesandro Costacurta RM Leo Messi LM Pavel Nedved CM Frank Rijkaard CM Clarence Seerdorf CF Gabriel Batistuta CF Marco Van Basten
Seedorf!! He would have absolutely been in my team. I dropped a clanger there. Absolutely love Seedorf.
Legend was Seerdorf for me like, absolutely ran the show, loved seeing him play. And one of them players who does seem to get overlooked or forgotten about yet the only player to win the Champions League with three different teams, Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan.
