Decided to piss off some Norwich fans on Twitter this morning. Went very well actually. Brightened up my Monday a little
Not so sure about that. I was looking at the league table for the first time in a while and think that there might be more interest than you think. There are 24 clubs. 2 - Leeds & the Baggies in top 2 spots would be keen to finish the league, obviously. 4 - The 4 teams in the play-off places would be keen too. 7 - Within 6 points of the play-off places are 7 more clubs who will sniff a chance of a play-off place who will be keen to compete. 3 - The next 3 clubs, although 8 & 9 points off the play-offs, will convince themselves that with so many teams above them still to play each other.... 3 - The bottom 3 clubs who want to fight relegation to the bitter end. 19 - Total number of clubs keen to finish the season The remaining 5 will no doubt vote against, as they're all in strong danger of being drawn into the relegation battle if the season restarts.
The PL do not want to increase the amount of teams in the league, for us to go up they need to have relegation, the biggest problem is they can’t just finish the PL as is because Villa have played one less game
I meant there is not same appetite within football authorities or broadcasters Jock. Of course some clubs want it done
Ah, misinterpreted. It's the accent. Nevertheless, it was an interesting look at it for me. Reassured me that the vast majority of Championship teams would want to finish the fixtures. Then again, we're possibly hamstrung by the votes of L1 & L2. Might have a look at their leagues & see how the land lies. Still think that the money is going to do the decision-making - i.e. Sky.
Key to anything is the premier league finishing. If they do that then three teams will be relegated so championship teams would be promoted either by playing the matches or PPG.
Domestic leagues should take president,so Just scrap the friggin worthless cups & Euro's, that should free up enough space to get all of europe's seasons back on track.
Regards to Messlier, best keeper we have had since our top flight days, so a no brainer imo, why employ some old has been at the end of their career, when Messlier although still young is a great keeper who will only get even better, who will supply many years service into the future. By all means bring in Joe Hart or the likes as a No2 & a possible GK coach.
Joe Hart got dumped by Pep because he was useless with his feet distribution wise, no chance Bielsa will want him.
