Now that has started raining I am inside more, not that you noticed I was away. Lots of gardening done.
Good morning all from a cool and damp Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and many happy returns to Captain Tom. Enjoy your day
Morning all. What a foul dose of weather has hit rural France today. Windy and pouring down with rain and it even feels cool again. Not a great deal of change expected before Sunday, so all gardening activities are on hold. With it being a public holiday tomorrow and then another one on the 8th May this is time for a week away from the towns and cities to visit the family home in the country. Not this year of course, and I notice that the supermarkets that would normally open for a couple of hours tomorrow morning are staying shut. Six of the large Amazon distribution centres have been closed down because they brought in extra staff to cope with the on-line sales, but did nothing to protect them against spreading the virus. They will not be allowed to reopen until they show more regard for the workers. Good to see that people come first. Enjoy your day whatever the weather.
My thoughts too!! Good for him eh..... Have a good day folks... Alll mu bedding plants arrvied yesterday.... loads more than we need! I think I got carried away on the mouse clicker!!!
A bit harsh on American coffee, but the point is well made. Liptons is the only tea we could find in Europe and avoided it completely. Mrs Fez and I went to Italy last year but the coffee, especially in the hotels, was poor at best with a couple of excellent exceptions. TBF the hotel food was poor as we've had anywhere (they constantly messed up spinach, everywhere) including the U.S.
There's a nice little tea company down your way - the Wee Tea Company in Dunfermline. They sell black teas, white teas, green teas, fruit infusions and herbal infusions. Neither my wife nor I are great tea drinkers, but I do like their Oolong Tea...

Morning all. Rather damp and dreary here this morning, and not much sign that it is going to perk up greatly for the next couple of days. Thinking back to my days in an English village, the 1st May always brought the Maypole out at the village school. The headteacher was an enthusiast for keeping alive traditions, and provided the music on his squeeze box. He enjoyed playing for one of the local teams of Morris dancers, and played an active role in the annual Hobby Horse festival. One year an exchange visit was in progress with children from the south of France over, and it was a surprise to find out that a hobby horse was a part of their culture as well. Hope that you all enjoy your day, and don't go up the pole.
Happy Birthday, Dave. We hope you have a great day. Lots of love, Andy, Mrs Andy, Matej and Seb. XXxx And the ‘as if you were there’ vid: And the last one: All the best, pal.
