Well in that case I am the lowest common denominator and proud. My musical tastes may not be particularly high brow or sophisticated, nor am I that musically knowledgeable but still, it makes me happy (or sad, or nostalgic, or inspired, or whatever). Thanks. Not bad, the only over Van song I've heard is, of course, Brown Eyed Girls. A worthy contender to my mellow music playlist... Anyhow, on a different note, there's this fad going around on Facebook where over the course of 7 days, you post 7 different albums that you love. Seeing as none of my family doing it have tagged me, I shall do it here! First up, is: please log in to view this image My first ever album. My sister had a copy which I kept borrowing when I was a kid, so she bought me a copy of my own which was nice of her. Just generally a feel good album, with so many upbeat songs. C'est La Vie, Rollercoaster, Rev It Up and.Never Giving Up to name a few. Bright, sunny, and optimistic, matching my (possibly rose-tinted) impression of the late 90s.
You never had a hope PL, with a start like that . I appreciate the music genius of William Shatner but it doesn't go down well at parties...i know enough not to inflict it on others however, so keep your Glee to yourself
Ok. Thursday before Good Friday, Easter last year. Local pub quiz. All my mates go and we have a team. One time a year we all don’t miss. Only time we do that pub quiz. music round. I’m with some music heads. Q: who had a hit in blah blah blah with “C’est La Vie?” Blank faces. Frowns. Unshaven, gruff groans. then a little under breath mumble that somehow slipped out of my mouth. “Bewitched” 7 sets of aggressive eyes turn and stare. “How the feck do you know that? You tosser!” Shamed myself badly.
I was going to post in your defence PL, something like "everyone to their own" but then I thought no, it will only encourage you to post more. But it's the thought that counts eh?
Sooo, this just came up on youtube related to my last post and one listen and I love it!..I love it when that happens...
Don't worry, I don't need any encouragement. Anyhow, here's probably my favourite song from the album: Rev It Up was an album track, so most people probably don't know it but it's also one of my favourite songs on the album.
Seriously Chilcs? I can't believe you're even suggesting a gentle leg pull is in anyway similar to the bile that St Godders posts nearly every time. If you are serious, I suggest you look back at both of our previous posts and see who tries to keep the general mood of the board upbeat and who has nothing say but nasty obnoxious comments.
He has never been quite my thing but I know many people like him so there is obviously real talent there. Thank you for posting this.
