Looking at their death rate compared to average, Germany are only 3% higher which implies they are not fiddling figures. UK are 65% higher. Italy 49% France 48% Belgium 62% Spain 67% New York 298% - shocking!!! Apart from USA and Spain, only Ecuador 80% is higher than us!! The other surprising stat and probably why Germany is much lower is the average age of hospital admissions. UK and Italy both over 65, Germany under 40. They seem to have shielded the more vulnerable much better than anyone else;!
I don't understand the null and void argument. Let me cross reference football rules. If a game is abandoned after 70 minutes then the result stands. The leagues have played 85% of the season. Surely the league tables should stand as it is?
Trouble is, there are 6 teams at the bottom separated by 3 points. Is it fair to relegate the bottom 3 with 27 points to play for?
What if the score is 1-0 but the winning team are down to 9 men? If game is abandoned after 70 minutes, result still stands. I guess the theory behind this rule is that they've had 70 minutes at this game and they still can't get in to a winning position so the result stands. Switch that to the league at the moment and it makes perfect sense to say that Forest (for example) have had 37 games to get in to a better position than they are. It's their own fault that they are so far behind the top two. Same at the bottom. I'm sure I heard that Charlton have only been in the bottom 3 for 20 minutes of play this season. So what! They've had 37 games to accumulate more points, they failed. I know I am biased because I support Leeds but I genuinely think that if we had played only 23 games that I would accept a null and void season, even if we were 12 points clear at that point. Yeah, I'd be bitterly disappointed but I'd accept it as it's a common sense thing to do. Null and voiding this season would be ridiculous after all the games that have been played. The tables aren't going to change that much from now on in. I hope that the games get played to a conclusion. It's the best way out of this. However, if that's not possible then it should stand as it is on a PPG status. Its ridiculous to suggest voiding everything. Although, seeing Liverpool not winning the title might be worth Leeds not going up!

Italian Serie A clubs were given the green light to return to training on Wednesday in preparation for a return. One condition was that players were to be tested & 4 players from Sampdoria, 3 players from Fiorentina and one from Torino have tested positive for Covid19 meaning they will now have to isolate. https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/202...iorentina-players-test-positive-for-covid-19/ Other teams players are being tested this weekend.
They should play the premier league to completion of games and the bottom 3 are relegated as normal , if they dont start the championship again this season then the top 2 could be promoted , that will be the safest way then there is only 19 teams in premier league next season which is better as not as many games in premier so less chance of spreading virus , im all for completing the championship this season but this way it will cut down on virus spreading and also LEEDS UTD WILL BE PROMOTED !!
German football supposed to be resuming next week. Think they jumped the gun a bit https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...-ENTIRE-Dynamo-Dresden-squad-quarantined.html
Yeah, saw that. Same happening in Italy. Sampdoria, Torino and Fiorentina - all a few points off the drop zone had players with positive tests this week. But the top 5 teams players all tested negative.
You can add Brighton to that. Seems like the closer you are to relegation the more susceptible to the virus you become. Interested to know how they got it in lockdown
