I wonder how much the underground pitch added to the cost of the stadium?

    Shame if it gets wasted.

Nowhere near as much as whoever the hell it was who installed the faulty sprinkler system did...

Had no idea the sprinkler system was faulty, sorry just got it. The safety certificate delay <doh>

Was it the sprinklers that caused that?

The official line was the fire safety system, but watching the livestreams you could see whole sections of seats in the south stand had been ripped up, and the only thing that could possibly be that was part of the fire system was the sprinklers, especially as it was the area directly above the bars and eateries area

Important question: do you pronounce the star or is it silent? Because some chants hang on this...

Did they ever think about an enclosed all weather stadium?

It could be costly to maintain if only used a few times a year?

As in if it added much to the cost of the stadium but was hardly/never used for a few years if the NFL don't bring teams over.

Who cares, it looks cool as **** when they retract it. I’m happy with it being a shiny toy <laugh>

It won’t get wasted though, the NFL plans for London have been a long term process and they’ll be back. It might be a couple of years later than planned pre-COVID but I’m sure it’ll get enough use in the grand scheme of things to be worthwhile.

Without covid sticking its nose in , it was going to be used for NFL , Rugby union , world championship boxing and pop concerts this year plus the good chance that the NFL were looking into a franchise in the UK, hardly think that Levy would have entertained the extra cost without working out cost versus income

Looks like they've decided to expand the home dressing room and use the NFL one for the away side.
The stadium seems remarkably well suited for social distancing.

There is something very Spursy about the fact that we build a fantastic stadium costing millions & millions so that more fans can see the games and the club increases it's revenue only to immediately be subject to a pandemic that locks its doors.

Spurs: "We're going to benefit enormously from large crowds at all these extra events."
    2020: Immediately bans crowds.

I think that's the 'home' NFL dressing room being converted for our team to use.

The teams are using dressing rooms on opposite sides of the ground , not sharing tunnels , think this is the only stadium in prem that can do this
