I'm right with you on this. I honestly don't know where this is going in England. Hopefully I am wrong and everything works out ok and quickly. I have my doubts. We've ****ed it right up as far as I can see.

The scots have extended the lockdown by another 3 weeks, and we will follow suit, unfortunately I think that will end any finishing the season with football.

Unfortunately, many of them believe what they read, and it dramatically changes according to where you read it

    e.g.
BBC " Black people in UK 'nearly twice as likely to die"
The Sun "Black people in UK three times as likely to die"
The Mirror "Black men and women four times likely to die"
The Sun "Men are twice as likely to die than women"
The Mail "Men are three times as likely to die than women"
The Huffington Post "Men are four times likely to die than women"

An 18 year old white woman reading the Mirror and Huffington post will care far less about the restrictions than a 60 year old black man reading same papers.

Hopefully that’ll put an end to the nonsense and force the football authorities to actually use their brains

    Silly meme that.

We buy food at supermarkets, you can live many years without a haircut. Just ask Daniel Levy of Spurs.

Take a small shop owner selling clothes. He or she agrees to only allow a customer in at a time and abide by social distancing. A cafe owner agrees to set the tables out 2m apart as he wants to open, both under current rules are told no. How or why are they treated different to Amazon opening it’s warehouse or should I say never closing it, how is it any different to standing in a queue for groceries, or a queue for the DIY store. We are just in the weirdest definition of a lock down you’re ever likely to see.

Just a comment on NZ, population only 4.9m spread out over a large area - true. But Auckland is a huge city of 1.7m (the greater Auckland area) and the top 5 cities comprise 60% of the population.

    Yes please. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I wrote a few weeks ago that it was quite easy to explain why NZ numbers were much lower than the UK, for example.

New Zealand medical advisor explained exactly how they achieved it last week. They stopped entry completely too the country early. We’re able to get rid of it then among the few remaining in NZ that had it. Australia similar story. Ireland and uk did the supposed lock downs alright but even to this day, travellers allowed in to go where they like unmonitored while we observe the restrictions. NZ was in lockdown with no travel while the Cheltenham lot were busy spreading the virus all over the place like we knew it would. There’s your main reasons for the varying figures from country to country
