Oh dear, it gets worse ..... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politic...ce-government-fly-50000-coronavirus-tests-us/
Italy stopped flights from China in January, but it was too late, it was already here because China who started with it in November lied to the world. I believe most of our cases and spread came from the EU who insisted we allowed the spread from Italy be allowed with open borders till it was too late, sure Boris made mistakes, the same ones every government in Europe did, Cheltenham races etc didn't help, but remember a very large number of the people and Horses at Cheltenham came from the ROI who also did nothing to stop it going ahead, didn't they cancel a rugby game, then allow hundreds of Italians fly over for a piss up and spread the virus anyway.
"Four million cases, world wide". Wow, that only leaves approximately seven billion, four hundred and fifty six million unaffected (Maths is not my strong subject)..
No we realised that when you paid £10 to go Aussie when all the others were sent for free How do you think lockdown will effect Aussie ? Do you think without civilization flying in, you will return to being murderers, rapists and cannibalism ?
I recon the Ant eaters got it off millwall fans.you won't last long now the chinks are stopping eating bat's, rats, cat's and dogs since we told them Aussies taste like chicken.
As long as you are happy with what your government has achieved that's fine by me it was just when I read through the list of actions and missed opportunities it did seem as though, admittedly with hindsight, that better options were available. Given a choice of following EU laws or saying "sod you I'm saving my citizens" I'm surprised Johnson did the former.
They were more convinced when we told them that cane toads have aphrodisiac qualities. Two problems solved in one easy step and it's a win/win situation.
That same weekend Football was permitted to go ahead but they called it off themselves. I do wonder how much worse the spread would have been with one more entire weekend of football fixtures.
Looking forward to that, Chesh. Back to the good old days. Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllllwwwwwaaaaaaaalllllllllll
I have no doubt that you are right about the lives saved but don't you find it odd that an organisation whose prime objective is to make money took this action rather than the government whose primary role is to protect the citizens of their country?
The results would have been horrendous, have you seen the one guy went out night clubing with it In South Korea, think they have found another 20 with it off him so far.
Bit like the EU insisting on open borders for freedom of movement, cost many thousands of lives that one, yet they never mention it, because there would be no more EU if they did. Think the football stopping was probably the players pushing for it, rather than the leagues as players were showing symptoms at some clubs by then.
