To be honest, I would be just “happy” to see the R’s play even under these rules.

I guess that I will get an opportunity to brush up on my German and Polish football in the near future.

At least I will be be able to support Robert Lewandowski at Bayern and Paweł Wszołek in Legia. I may even be able to catch our BFG!

We are living in strange times!

I'd happily adopt Pawel's club in the short term. I hope the Dresden team are cleared soon and some footy can go ahead.

So we will both temporarily support Legia Warszawa!

I will certainly try, but it won’t be the same!

Are there any insights in today’s Boris Johnson’s announcement on when when sport professional may re-start?

From what I gave seen to date, I have heard no message on this topic.

If you can only play sport with your own household as I read he said, it won't be soon. From the horrific numbers I can't see how it can be at all safe to restart League Football in the UK for a good while yet.

So definitely no football before 1st June (at the earliest).

Coronavirus: No professional sport in England until 1 June at earliest

I think this season is doomed and no more games will be played. The earliest I can see games being played is September.

This would mean the lawyers earning fortunes as litigation is bound to commence between the Premier League and the Football league as to who if anybody is promoted or relegated in all divisions. Would love to see Liverpool not win the PL and would also love to see Leeds not being promoted.

Think and hope they have to finish the season, but only when safe to do so. It's quite likely to have to be stopped again during further surges of the virus.

I initially was quite optimistic that we would finish the season “behind closed doors”.

However, it is becoming an up-hill struggle and time seems to be running out. I am now much more skeptical.

Let’s see how the situation develops.

Where from, at least Boris supports the Rs must have mentioned them 50 times in last 10mins but didn't hear anything else about footy restarting?

Think it's an aim rather than a definite announcement isn't it? Brighton have just had three players with confirmed with covid. I'm getting less confident it's going to happen.

Sorry... yes I saw a headline while flicking through various football pages on the net. I think it is still an aim at this stage.

It's a strange one I'm desperate for football to restart, but cant actually see how it can be done safely and ultimately fairly. After the Preston demolition with 10 men I still fancied a top 6 finish, but I would accept a null and void season, i dont think some random algorithms is acceptable though, as doesn't appear to take Into account recent form which surely needs to be an overriding factor

My own feeling was that we were running into a bit of form but ultimately, we weren't a top 6 team yet and definitely not a contender for promotion. The current team have a lot of potential but they are definitely not a Premiership team and if by some stroke of luck we won the play offs, we would come straight back down, again.

Next year is a completely different story if we keep our two major assets ie. Eze and BOS and we can add a few clever signings.

With contrasting statements, as shown below, it is very difficult to assess where we really are on this point. I guess each country is progressing at its own speed and along its own guidelines.

Denmark's Superliga to resume on 28 May behind closed doors.

Danny Rose criticises Premier League restart plans amid coronavirus pandemic
    https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52630497

England and Tottenham defender Danny Rose has criticised the Premier League's plans to restart the season amid the coronavirus pandemic. Club officials met on Monday to continue talks on "Project Restart", with the English top flight aiming to resume fixtures on 12 June. As of 11 May, 32,065 people had died in the UK with coronavirus. "Football shouldn't even be spoken about until the numbers have dropped massively," said Rose, 29.
