I think you should delete Stan’s account and all of his posts so that we can relive the 1,000 page celebrations again in about 5 weeks.

He's like one of those constantly moving targets, that says shoot me, shoot me, and every so often he gets slugged.

    It's just standard.

Think you have hit the nail on the head. The Japanese did not lock down quickly, they are still not testing large numbers of people and their own people are criticising them for their poor response and yet they still have very low death rates compared to the European countries. From my experience of visiting Japan though I know a lot of them use face masks when out if they have colds etc, greeting people is less hands-on than elsewhere (bows rather than handshakes) and they tend to rigorously obey government instructions.

It is also interesting that most Asian countries have significantly lower infection rates than European countries despite high populations, living in poverty, so close together. It may be that they are not picking them up, due to lack of testing, but surely the hospitals here would be snowed under. I don't believe the hot weather theory because that certainly wouldn't apply to Japan or China at this time of year.

There is a really interesting (that might be an exaggeration!) study recently published that suggests that the mutation of the virus currently dominant in Europe and USA is one that is much more transmissible than the East Asian one, hence the much higher transmission/infection rates in Europe.

Just setting up our office plan with our HSE committee for a return to working, if we are cleared to go back on June 1st which is the anticipated date for here. The UK government has published some great advice documents, along with the 50-page general Covid-19 plan, which provide a good starting point. However they have failed to deal with how to mitigate risks at prayer times and what to do where 4 people come to work on the same motorbike.

He wasn’t allowed to reopen because he hasn’t met the criteria for doing so. Wouldn’t it be better for him to focus his efforts on providing a safer environment for his employees, rather than wasted time tweeting. I’m guessing Trump will be out later lauding him as a hero!

Yup ... instead of supporting the State's stance aimed at saving lives, the arrogant prick said he'll just move the manufacturing to a different state ... him and Donny are very similar in their concern for their fellow Americans

I am currently working with two of our kids. 1 in a local park to him and 1 in a school local to him.

They are both struggling with lockdown and need the support.

Three of us are needed for safety reasons (possible violence, spitty, running away etc).

They are both under 9 yrs old and do not understand social distancing so we are teaching them that.

We have gloves, hand san and anti bac stuff for cleaning the equipment so am happy with our protection as we can not work with face masks etc as it would freak the kids outs.

I have no ptoblem with doing this work.

But how come three of us can work with a kid (who can not copebeing 2m away but me, Mrs RCL and the teenbeast can not all go to see my uni daughter?

Genuine question cos it makes no ****ing sense to me.

I dont think the rules are particularly confusing but I do think they are contradictory as ****.

I think it’s about trying to make lockdown a little easier for people but still try to minimise the amount of people coming into contact with each other. There’s plenty of common sense ways to see people whilst also social distancing but if they just say that everyone will just socialise as normal again. I agree, the guidance isn’t confusing but in places feels contradictory, but it’s the nature of the beast imo.

    Interesting.

My daughter still goes to school in a class of eight to 15 kids in a big classroom.

Obviously social distancing goes out of the window at play time.

But the benefit to her mental health outweighs any remote to impossible chance of infection/transmission
