    "

IMHO This Government needs to be broader coalition/alliance whilst we're in the mire, we need open transparency, the truth, not the spin and lies that we currently being subjected on us."

It would be a good start if someone unbiased, or even in opposition, was present during the daily 'Coronvirus Update'.

Allow them 3 'challenges' during each session which would at least introduce a sense of balance.

At the moment the middle podium will simply say,

"I'll now allow my colleagues to my left/right to agree with me."

Starmer said he would work with and alongside the govt, and whilst maybe disagreeing, would discuss things and not make it political. That could have led to better messages from a united front.

On the BBC there's a bit on Denmark: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world...opened-primary-school-in-the-time-of-covid-19

Doesn't look great either though one of the first sentences struck me "we've split the 20 pupil class into two groups of 10". In my boys classes at Primary school there are 36 in one class and 33 in the other, we need to halve the class sizes just to get to the levels that they are starting at in Scandanavia...

The thing that most prople are NOT taking arguement with is the viewpoint that
we cannot afford for the country to continue as it is -
the horrific costs will cripple us for years to come,
and we will have to have new austerity measures to pay for it. !!!
Well I just read an intetesting bit of info:-

Furlough costs us today about £14 billion a month. . . Wow.
so June, July, August, September and October will cost the country
    £70 billion . . again wow !
    However
Tax dodged in UK is estimated at approx.
    £120 bill.

    Trident update:-
    £205 billion

In 2008 The banks in UK were bailed out leading to austerity to the tune of:-
    £500 billion.

Don’t let anybody tell you it is a choice BETWEEN dying during this panic or dying due to austerity.
    Austerity is a POLITICAL CHOICE.
Before the replies come in - I am not saying it will be easy, we know we have a dificult time ahead 3,4,5 or more years.
But there is money in our system that can be used if the choice is made.
    They did it in 2008.

Add to that HS2 at 100 billion so people can get from Manchester to London 20 minutes quicker

Some may have gleaned from my posts that I do not think Fatty Bonko and his chums have done this country proud in fighting this epidemic.

Notwithstanding that, and after having a good day playing 1st game of golf...

I'm at home now watching CNN as a sacked medical expert who was sacked for saying, the epidemic was serious and a drug that Trump was touting was dangerous. Republicans keep saying you are wrong...Trump is brilliant

Trump meanwhile is whingeing that the Coronvirus is all about trying to stop him getting elected...whilst ranting about Russia and Obama.

It's hard to believe but Trump is worst than Bonko

The northern powerhouse needs E W road and rail links. Eg A66 and A69 all dualled, AI in Northumberland dualled.
A fast rail link both East and West into Manchester Airport

    Money better spent on imho

I'm starting to wonder if any of it is worth the bother.

Where are all these people going?

I'm sure I sound naive, but whenever I travel I see business people rushing around in panic jumping on planes, trains, cabs as if they might die if they don't.

In an age of instant communication, anywhere in the world, why do they need to be continually travelling?

As I live In the south west with only half a motorway and a half dual carriageway, half single lane road as the main routes, I struggle to see why shaving 20 minutes of a Manchester to London train route is so critical
