‘In nursing and care homes’ mate.

We won’t see the effect of this weeks changes for 2 weeks minimum.

It will see a rise, people need to not spit their fannies out when it happens, it happened in Germany and then stabilised. That’s how it’s going to be.

Germany, as always, are ya doing it with measure, rather than running around screaming.

It will go up mate, that’s without question.

It’s the level and how quickly it stabilises again we need to watch. That’s why Germany didn’t go back to lockdown, it took a matter of days to level out again.

We have to balance the irrational fear drilled in by the appalling press sensationalism and the very real and stark facts.

It’s a killer, but not for most. It’s deadly for a tiny percentage of the populace.

Time and research are coming into play now. We know more about it, we are starting to be able to manage it.

Its a long game but if we were 3-0 down we’ve maybe pulled one back just before half time.

Fully agree the press have been an absolute disgrace.

I remain hopeful that the general population will not go mental and keep being sensible, even if the rate goes up a bit, I really do hope people follow the rules and don't take the piss.

It will be slow steps but if slow means that by July we have antibody tests and track and trace working then we can look ahead and not stand still

They went on about lockdown, then as soon as it started then went on about easing it, I dread to think what they will come up with now

The virus, by all accounts ‘finishes people off’ rather than ‘kills them’.

This applies to far in excess of 95% of cases.

That’s not a catchy and frightening headline of course.

I do wonder what if any long term effect having it and needing itu treatment will have on those who recover.

I did read early on that some doctors were saying that some of those recovered would be left with longer term damage

So while obviously not trying to make light of this disease it's basically that kid at school who used to stand near the goal and get there toe to the ball as it's about to cross the line.

    I can say this.

We had 1 confirmed case out of 31,000 employees.

It was in a large contact centre on Cardiff, before social distancing was introduced.

There were no further cases. That’s a fact. A building of around 1,000 people were the person concerned had been attending 5 days a week.

Make of that what you will.

I don’t want to come across as wrong, or say that it’s not a ****ing major thing, it’s clear that it is.

I do have questions, which in the future we will have answers to, as to whether the mass hysteria in the press is responsible for the country being crippled.

I worked in an office until 2-3 weeks back, with many others. I walked to work, I’ve been in supermarkets.

I’ve stuck to rules as I’d hate to think I infect someone who it could damage, but I had to mix and I was tested and clear. I worked in an office with shared air con, for several weeks.

I genuinely don’t know the answers. It frustrates me as I have so many questions.

I look at New Zealand, Denmark. There’s was no panic. Look at them now.

It’s changed many peoples lives for years at massive cost, and while the deaths are awful to see, we won’t know for years if the ongoing problems with finance and further health, mental health, poverty, will far outweigh the virus itself and the measures taken.

I understand the ‘minimise risk’ reaction, but I’m just seeing a world turned upside down that could have been managed sideways.

I am open to this opinion being changed as we know more but there’s a clearing in the fog and it does look like it could have been managed far less disruptively.

Hancock is now coming out with a load of bollocks and spin about care homes, does not admit they were under the radar for weeks...

Despite various warnings by medical experts saying from the start of an epidemic, care homes needed lots of help/attention..

Not only are they trying to close the stable door after the horse has bolted...the stable had not even been built..

As in, a lot of the people who it’s killed were already in serious health troubles.

I apologise for the wording it’s a bit inappropriate looking back.

As I mentioned I know there’s a small percentage where this isn’t the case.

What bothers me is that we didn't have a lockdown and loads were infected.

Then we had a lockdown and loads less were infected.

Now, nothing's changed and we've lifted the lockdown.

I've absolutely no doubt the death rate will keep going down, stay down and end ...

    ... or have I <whistle>
