Nigel Pearson coming out strongly. Note they don't say just cancel the season as some suggest on Twitter but just want to make sure its totally safe.
I had no idea that the Pools Panel had been sitting for the last few games of the season - and here's their table with just the one round of fixtures left to deliberate on tomorrow. Needless to say, I'm happy with that - let them do their thing tomorrow and finish the season...
The second German Bundesliga has started already and is approaching half time - for the record books the first player to score in an empty stadium was Lee Jae-Sung (good old fashioned German name) for Holstein Kiel at Regensburg. The first Bundesliga also starts later today.

Looks like it went well but can the players and fans keep it up in terms of being disciplined? What happens if there is a increase in numbers generally though - football will have to stop again and that could lead to all sorts of issues.
Yes we could end up in a right mess.... Just like lockdown generally being loosened too early.... I have little confidence .....
Having watched footage of the german games ...it seems players find it very hard to stop themselves touching.... and given the volumes of sweat and mucus generated... all very dodgy and in the UK https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52699654 I know they want to play.... BUT...................................
Maybe the answer is in that article - the bit that says "Players have been asked to sign waivers" ? What would happen if enough players refused to sign - given that the intention behind signing one is merely to protect the clubs from legal liability? Like NHS and Care Home workers, is it right that they be forced into a potentially life-threatening work situation just because the bosses tell them to? If I was a player I'd be refusing - at the very least until politicians had all returned to parliament for three weeks just to show that it was safe to do so.
Scotland's SPFL have ended its season and worked out final league placings on a points per game basis. If this was applied to the Premiership West Ham, Watford and Bournemouth finish on 0.93, above Aston Villa (0.89) and Norwich (0.72). Does anybody know the criteria to work out which of the three clubs join the bottom two?.
They would probably go on Goal Difference, or maybe head to head The easiest way would be that only two teams go down this season and the top two from the championship are promoted (again worked out on points per game). This would also resolve the issue of playoffs in the Championship, which are likely to be difficult to put in place and play
I reckon he will go training but probably just be in the gym working in his fitness to avoid contact. Can clubs not pay you for not wanting to play?
Well if the same principles are employed as with other workers they will have to... I can imagine a number of players with vulnerable relatives or with diabetes etc may be feeling some pressure to turn out..
Yes - wonder if anyone in our squad has the same stance? Everyone is different I guess . Deeney is very much his own man and will say what he thinks but most probably just go along with what they are told.
I was impressed with TDs stance.. And surely there will be a player with diabetes, a partner or child eith a complex condition, or a member of staff who has significant health problems.. .. And as I read it.. If one member of the close squad or there family tests positive.. All in their contact circle has to self isolate... The chances of that happening to one club nust be pretty high and considering that a lot of the younger players will have a less secure approach to this, as we have seen already... You could bet on it happening.. And if one club goes down.. Then what??
