Been painting a lot recently, sick of it now. Also bought a power washer, fun bit of kit. Cleaned all the stonework yesterday. **** this is boring.

We've all been at it. I've painted the front and back of the house. Making a start on the window frames and doors this week.

I think I'll leave the lift the same colour it is though


Wonder if Matth has painted over that stain on his bedroom wall during lockdown ?

 

I imagine he has and that he used cats blood.

So what are you lot up to today then ?

I've got the homeschooling routine in a bit, then need to fix a broken waste pipe, then off for a surf.

This arvo, walk the dog again, pack up a few orders to send off, tend to my veggies.

If I've got any energy left, might go for another surf after little un has gone to bed.

 

Work is becoming a drag even if it does fill the day and I’m grateful to be in a role where I can work.

Colleagues and customers expecting me to be able to tell them what the country and economy will be like in a year when we have no idea what tomorrow will look like is starting to grate.

So work, walk around for a bit to break work up and train at 5:30ish. Then probably watch Harry’s Heroes. Walk around for a bit before bed (top tip for a good night’s sleep). What a life.

 

What do you do for work fella ?

 

Consultancy in short. I’m meant to be a sort of food and consumer/shopper expert but it’s mainly telling Marketing people who never leave London that people in Scunthorpe don’t have enough disposable income to pay a quid more if they make the packaging a bit nicer. Currently working for a big food supplier internally but was half-thinking about going freelance before Covid.

 

Here's my effort, redone the ceiling and walls white and threw up some grey on the fire wall. Also put the floor down too.

Looks a bit dark here cos blinds are closed.

 

Working till 4 then probably take my lad out on his bike for a couple of hours. On call this week so can't do **** all after 6pm.

Oh and probably explaining to my boss at some point that there's no need for me to put a shirt on and frankly, they're lucky I'm getting dressed at all. Seems to be an almost daily occurrence right now.

 

You need to paint those fire surround fixings the same colour as the wall, as they look a cock.

Decent job though bud.

I'm chillin...not starting work till next week after Ramadan...will pick young un up in aft...will cook something early evening.

Not having breakfast...might go back to sleep...not bothered about it being Sunny n all that ****e...it'll come again.
