Bollocks, the season should be voided.
You surely cant have a scenario like spl where a team is awarded champions and another gets relegated.

Whatever happens so clubs are going to be pissed off and try to go down legal route.

i think they should ALL be played to completion. not bothered about the cup competitions; they have little or no effect on the following season.

Season should be scrapped and let’s all start again in August.

Why's it pathetic? As Troy deeny said, he can't have his hair cut but can be on a pitch with 21 other people etc and potentially take it home to his ill child? The allams come out with and no doubt will to continue to come out with stupid crap, but the season should be scrapped. Before anybody says it, we all know what his reasons are but really...who cares! If it stops just one player, member of a player's family, a coach, backroom staff, club staff paramedic or anyone else who would need to be at a training session or game getting it then it's worth it imo

10000% agree - scrap it. However, I can’t see the season starting as normal in August

i don't have a problem with players opting out, just as i don't have a problem with employees at other places taking longer before they go back to work.

when test for antibodies get into full swing it wil be shown that massively more people became infected and had no symptoms.

i didn't say WHEN it should be completed. at some point in june the number of new cases and deaths is going to be reaching negligible levels no worse than flu always is. if it has to be completed in december that's okay. the integrity of a league season depends on it being finished under the same rules and conditions it was started with. if any season needs buggering up, make it next season, and fix different rules for that season so it also finishes under the rules it was started with.

i thoroughly disagree with the "if it stops just ONE" point of view, which disregards mental problems many people have with lockdown, either from being stuck at home or with losing their jobs or livelihoods. these are situations that can lead to increases in suicides. and that's to say nothing of all the postponed medical treatments and monitoring of other conditions, such as cancer. saving one life from covid-19 and losing ten from suicide prompted from lockdown or from other untreated conditions is no trade.

and it's pathetic because the leeds supporters are right. our club is 21st without a win in 11 games and IT'S THE COWARDS' WAY OUT.

What’s the point in starting a new season in August, if this season can’t be finished & the government & experts are saying no fans & social distancing could still be going on in 12 months time, then next season won’t get done either!
I’ll be surprised if the Euros are played at the rate their going at the moment!

The players are going to go into a sterile environment, where every other person there has had multiple negative tests, they're going to be safer than the rest of us are when we go to a supermarket. It's caused far more fuss than it should have done, most of us will be back at work long before the games kick off again.

    It's sound common sense.

Just the squealing mickeys and desperate vermin fans who want it completed.

Both these clubs are backed by morally suspect people on and off the pitch.

Hope the EFL & PL have the cojones to say sorry, it's over, we go again with a new season soon as

And the players out of contract, the loan players, what do you do when a player tests positive (Watford have 3 at the moment)

arrangements can be made for loan players and out of contract players.

what do you do when a player has flu? i have said the resumption doesn't have to be tomorrow and that new cases and deaths will be negligible in the near future. on top of that, treatments will, in the very near future, render infection irrelevant in 99.999% of cases.

I think people forget that we went into lockdown to protect the vulnerable and build capacity in the NHS.

We now have the capacity, the testing and a social understanding of prevention.

By August we may have some tracking as well.

There is no point in starting the season later, we may have to stop again when the winter flu season starts.

The question is this. If pubs and restaurants are open, should football stadiums stay shut?

It's all about the money, each club had a squad of players and about 8 games to play. Whatever arrangements are made they will be different to how it was which opens the door to the lawyers, we didn't get promoted because of x y or z and now we're over 100 million quid short.

Watford get relegated because 3 players were unable to play due to the virus, not fair they cry. See you in court.

What would you do in Troy's shoes then? Just crack on and risk your son? It's his sons health..he's entitled to cause as much fuss about that as he wants

Have they all rang you to tell you that? I'm pretty sure there is more then just our owners who would want to void it
