Second visit being denied though, and no real evidence seems to have emerged apart from somebody thought they saw him, or saw someone who looked like him, and part of a number plate which might be his. All very deniable so far.

Anyway Cummings is a distraction to the important stuff in that left wing campaigning newspaper, the Sunday Times.
They reckon that delaying lockdown caused thousands to die and, since this is sometimes a football forum, they’ve estimated that the Liverpool v Athletico match killed 41 people in Liverpool hospitals alone (highly likely there will have been people there who ended up in other hospitals round the country too)

Agreed, I should have said 'alleged' second visit, though I did at least acknowledge that they were denying it. I suspect that tomorrow's Guardian and Mirror may have further evidence, but if not then there's still a chance he'll tough it out (pending him coming out of No. 10 with a job still later on today)

Not sure the second visit has be proven, but yes I imagine when they saw it the MPs who rushed to support him might have been speaking in ***********
Law’s still not relevant though as they were also claiming his actions followed their own guidance, and effectively therefore saying any idiots who stayed away from their families when they had illness and kids or parents who looked after kids themselves while having Covid19 were uncaring ****s.

Not that I know of, but as I posted above I have my suspicions that the Guardian and Mirror may be saving the killer blow of photos or whatever else they've got until after as many Tories as possible use this argument today

Hmmm not sure a reporter would sit on anything like that and risk not being the first to break the news

That's exactly what they did yesterday by saving the second visit for today's news

I got the distinct impression that both days' stories were already written, but I could be wrong.

They want Boris to speak before they drop any pay dirt.
It’s either a bluff (and he knows it) or a stand off...

Wrote both, published first, let cabinet members come out in support then published second

    Good tactics I’d say

Well they did use a company that analyses health data for a living and then modelled it using other cities as comparison data. So not quite ‘nothing to back it up’
Pretty sure the Sunday Times is fairly blue in colour too

Indeed, it’s the old golfing ‘Gotcha’ joke isn’t it? Yesterday they were confident they could see it out, but after this morning’s reports they’re far more restive. I await tomorrow’s papers with interest to see whether they’ve got some more.

Yeah big problem for most people I think , the pandemic itself almost takes a back seat , its like people are frothing at the mouth to get their opinion across one way or another ....

Take yesterday and today for instance , the daily briefing was all set out to announce millions going into infrastructure around parts of northern england, I can understand one question or maybe two being brought up about the stupidness (no other word for it) of Cummings, but for ALL but one question to be on the specific reason that minister was brought out on that day to talk about millions being invested in areas it is needed ... embarrassing IMO ... and thats the media for you throughout this whole long running tragedy ...

someone posted this somewhere the other day , think it about sums it all up
