    Anyone seen Laura Kuenssberg?

She's been very quiet, considering she is the BBC's Political Editor.

    I hope she's ok. :bandit:

I've missed a couple of funerals (CoVid-related, but not 100%) in recent weeks, and doing my best to care for elderly relatives (not easy as they don't remember the distancing and need stuff doing indoors that they can't do themselves). I've had to make countless decisions on whether to obey 'the letter of the law' and not enter the home.....or go in and try to manage the risk as best as possible for someone who doesn't remember the threat I pose to their life..

I couldn't therefore give a **** about what any politician says or does, as it does not directly affect my own circumstances/actions. I'm sad that we are all in the state we're in, but I crack on managing my life and circumstances as best as I can bearing in mind the known risks, hotspots, threats, dangers- that is all I can do.Listen to advice, read informed comment and analysis, try and sift out the good stuff from the nonsense.

With normal luck I will avoid getting affected and I will avoid contaminating anyone, specially those closest to me who rely on me....but anger does not come into it. Why the **** would it? The focus is on my own behaviour, not that of people I can't control or will never meet, and dodging the lethal microbes swirling around these days..

I'm sorry you have to resort to confrontational or insulting tones (and surprised you have to chosen to wilfully twist the meaning of some of my previous posts), it seems out of place on a thread about the deaths of thousands of people.- but each to their own.

    Stay safe.

It promises to be the greatest data breach in history and a bonanza for Nigerian money launderers, if you have the app and have Covid, you get rang up and you have to tell them the names addresses and phone numbers of all you have had contact with.
Don’t download the app, if it ever appears that is

She's probably trusted her instinct and nipped up to Glasgow for a fried mars bar and a bottle of Buckfast whilst displaying 'pre covid' symptoms!!

I always clamber for The Thick Of It to be brought back, because they'd have so much material to work with.

The thing is... they don't need to bring it back. The Thick Of It can't be as batshit insane and incredible as the real thing now.

Well at least the numbers are continuing in the downward trend which is what we all should be concerned about after all ...

Be interesting this week as we hit the "incubation period" that would hit after the first phase of relaxations were brought in

Funny how none of the "journalists" asked questions on any of the figures or the schools back on June 1st details etc...

This thread now has very little to do with a virus and many posters are making their party politics very clear.

I’ve been off here today, knocking down a wall that my 80 year old mother bizarrely tried to do herself and I can’t be arsed to go through it deleting half the posts, so please just wind your necks in and try and respect the board rules.

    Thanks.

Ah, the last resort. Huffty self regarding faux outrage when there’s no reasonable way out of the hole you’ve dug yourself. Job done!

Forgot to add , I wonder what "social changes" will be incoming next weekend as was announced as well as relaxation on retail outlets etc ... possibly the "bubble" idea coming into play ? I know car showrooms are already gearing towards June 1st as the staff have been told , as well as solicitors (purely from family members who work in the trades) both sectors have been told to move towards it

Will make a very positive difference financially and mentally to a lot of people I know who live alone and I'm sure for many others
