Probably too high for Cardiff I agree,

But what about all incoming passengers from China, Hungary etc (bar those coming from Eire or France) having to self isolate ?

Where is this being done ? Or are they trusting people and allowing them to disappear into the UK once they've cleared Immigration in the hope it will happen ? Presumably there are plenty of Brits on these incoming ones. Wonder if they are tested too ?

Had a "round robin" of chats today ..on the phone biggest topics was BBC and Kuensberg AND Keir Starmer! THE LATTER trying to gain political points scoring at the cost of the poor people in the care homes. Whilst to date he has avoided the same evil mantle that shrouded JC ..! HE is beginning to say one thing whilst keeping the dagger ready to do a bit of back stabbing!! It does appear he had a cobbled together item that each separate part was correct in its own context but put into 1 sentence was malicious!
Whats with Kuensberg? [ and the BBC] they seem hell bent on being anti gov and digging up non descripts that have a grudge or are anti .gov. From our group of 7 this am non now watch BBC 4 - 4.30PM TILL 7pm instead its ITV or Sky.. so goodness what has been "stirred up by them over the past 48 -72 hours ……………………..

Come on mate <laugh> The BBC can certainly swing one way or another sometimes, but Laura Kuenssberg is the most pro-Tory broadcaster I've ever seen. 100% she ends up in a senior Conservative position in the next 5 years.

uuuummmmmmmmm well she is not in the eyes of a lot of peeps .. spread far and wide geographically in my circle of friends … at one time she was quite fair, maybe before her present title as top of her pile! now she is responsible for her "editing/ choice of subjects/etc's " she errs on the side of what sells not what is an unbiased approach that is always looking for the negatives and least good news.
the BBC has for a number of years been trying to play catchup with news etc ..out of the window has gone the representation … unbiased presentation.
eg find someone some place with a gripe about a subject in the past would have peeps arguing for both sides now present one at cost to other … very few hear of the retractions as they usually come days afterwards ...even years

well a few days in and a lot of people reckon / seem to think it is all over bar the shouting ….. more people around the shops / takeaways, more "picnic ing " [ grouping ] where I do my daily walks and they cant all be families!traffic must have quadrupled at least and there is a lot of empty spaces on drives as i go for my walk ...including a few camper vans that are "missing" from drives!
i haven't actually changed what i do a lot. Started longer walks before the "lifting" so nothing different there ….

just who are the moronic erjits who are risking the health of decent humans by invading beaches and country beauty spots with no means of sanitization they are leaving all sorts of rubbish / baby nappy on beach's etc. to be honest if I was the local council I would leave it there. there is no shops or facilities open let alone toilets so no income!
to be safe, local bin men / refuse collectors would need PPEserious PPE so leave it for a few days... come Saturday how many will put their deck chairs and blankets down on seriously contaminated areas of beach/ grassland … not many. some of the worst are the camper van owners

who are staying overnight. where do they tip their refuse poo etc... usually needs doing every day. the worst is to come as at the moment according to reports it is those being paid by the government that are the invaders. come Friday night what percentage of the "workers" will join the fray. In the beginning the consensus was we need herd immunity … well we are likely to get that, maybe sooner than expected.

The sooner that poisonous unelected puppet master is gone the better. I can't stand him - in fact the only politician I hate as much as him is Sturgeon. Actually, she doesn't count because vile though she is at least she was elected just like Hitler was, whereas Cummings is just 'there' - unelected, unaccountable, above the law and unsackable

If he's found to have broken the rules after his initial trip to Durham he's toast.
    Otherwise he may well survive.
If Mrs R and very close colleagues had Coved symptoms and my 4 year old was in the same position with no family close by I'd have probably done the same.

I have always tried to fair...looked at the bigger picture and made a judgement of "what information" is available.
whilst I like Boris but have NO INKLING for Cummings I cannot yet take sides or decide guilty or not. 1 factor is he "tested" or did he have corona? Apparently one statement said he travelled with it and wife was showing symptoms so guilty as he should have stayed in lockdown until she was confirmed. if both had it and there had been a RTA or breakdown … irresponsible … mitigating factors, had he not been CUMMINGS BUT JOE BLOGGS maybe gone unnoticed and people who knew would say "good family man"
however if the "lies" are proven then off with his head.
Boris should have stated until weds he is suspended whilst proper investigations are pursued ….

240 miles is still a long way to travel without stopping. If he was displaying symptoms as she was how is he reducing the spread?

It’s not just this latest revelation - I’ve never liked him. He comes across as a self-entitled bully and everyone seems to be afraid of him. He is just the sort of person I’d love to see humiliated and ruined.
It won’t happen of course but I can dream.
It’s HIM running the country, not Boris. BJ, ****er that he is, at least got elected.

You're not on your own R&W, even Tory MPs are out to get him.
However I don't think just hatred will be enough to get him, it's whether or not it's proved he broke his self isolation whilst in Durham.

Cummings is not the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Some will go a lot stronger.
I laugh at Tory MPs who just have a jealous and personal vendetta against him.
However what I can't handle is the rank hypocrisy of Keir Starmer and the Labour Party.

If it's so bad that Cummings broke the spirit of the rules then why didn't Starmer and other self righteous types go nuts when FOUR Labour M Ps that actually broke the rules.

Currently and keeping an intense dislike for the man himself out of the equation I wouldn't sack Cummings.
Breaking self isolation whilst in Durham is a totally different matter.

I agree entirely with you RP. This is largely a storm in a teacup but the media in all its forms are all over this. Frankly, there are more important things to worry about, discuss and debate. Decisions made in the next few weeks will dictate how and when we come out of all this.

Watching Shapps et al spending time in tv/radio stations ‘explaining’ the government position on Cummings was time wasted. They should have been spending that time doing their proper job, which is to govern.

    Let’s move on!

hate should never rule anything, everything or everybody is entitled to a fair hearing... on the face of it he did something not really fair on 99% or so of the population... travelled when in contamination and so in the least both should be fined. 4pm we will here his side he is not the sort of person to stand down unless he is told to … will be interesting to hear hat excuses or reasons he has

so far cummings interview is not going well … his mannerisms and speech deliverance is defensive and not a positive that one would say he is telling the truth certain answers are stammered as he attempts to give an answer so as not to trip himself up …. something in the future will break his story ….
