Got to shoot now, I'm assuming I'm going to get the virus, so I'm taking the family away for a week to try stop me spreading it.
You said "Nobody knows if he had the virus as hes never been tested" I assumed you were questioning whether he was faking it
It's difficult, particularly as people who have the virus are told to get on with it unless really ill, and won't get a visit from a doctor. But to make the faking claim, you need to have some evidence. Otherwise, giving all the surrounding circumstances, wife had it and he had no reason to want to leave work, the assumption must be he is telling the truth. And that's the position the media is taking
No its self explanatory mate. Nobody does know if hes had it as he hasn't been tested. Sometimes when people lie, you have to take what they say with a shovel full of salt.
And the story put out by his wife that he was bed ridden for 10 days yet picked her up from hospital.
what you're saying is that anyone with a child where 1 parent is ill can go do what the **** they want in terms of travelling elsewhere. @Staines R's I believe you think you may be coming down and i believe theres a safehouse in the lake district with your name on it buddy
To retain my PHV licence I would have to pass an annual medical which includes an eyesight test and the failure threshold is lower than you'd think...
The government may be 'doing their very best', but their best is sadly - and fatally for thousands - not ****ing good enough. I don't want journalists asking questions that provide 'positive and reassuring answers', I want them to ask why we have the worst Covid-19 outcomes in the world and shame the useless ****ers into putting it right.
All things considered they’ve given the government an extremely easy ride. We are the textbook case in how not to do it.
Nice looking market town. Outdoor markets and car showrooms can open next week in England please log in to view this image https://www.theguardian.com/world/2..._XeF7IqCnv8QrNc6EKHcN9om77qrZeUZP7SXKagTj6o0I
Good post, Ellers. And Lord Sugar is (or was before Magic Grandpa) a Labour supporter and contributor There will need to be a public enquiry at to how this government dealt with the virus and that will happen in due course. For now, I do think the government are doing their best and sure as hell the media are continually getting the mood of the country wrong.
Genuinely intrigued how anyone can conclude that what they’ve seen from the government over the last few months adds up to them doing their best, even ignoring the results of their efforts.
Far Eastern countries like South Korea and Singapore had good testing facilities when the virus struck., because they had had to deal with serious viruses before. Western Europe was less prepared ( particularly as regards care homes) although Germany had a good diagnostics industry which helped considerably. Big cities like London and New York where people are living cheek by jowl seem to be affected worst. There will be other factors. May be the UK has a bigger South Asian community. They are more at risk from the virus. This is what an enquiry must uncover
Yes. Just don’t see what in that or anywhere else suggests our lot have given it their best shot with the resources on offer. Even something as basic as not allowing just anyone to waltz through the airport would have been a start.
