Lets hope so. No more foreign owners, and the mercenaries they attract. Give football back to the fans, easy money is ruining the game. imo.

I don't like Ashley owning a NE club tbh.

But he's English and a football supporter.

The prospective new owners want to own the club for purely political reasons ...

... I wouldn't want that at Sunderland tbh.

Football was once a simple game for the working masses, it'd shyte now imo.

    Aren't most of our fans desperate for foreign owners? :D I don't think it's that they're foreign, it's that they're murdering ****s.

I’d be happy for Ashley to come and buy us with his £300million.

Run a debt free Premier League club? Aye I’ll have that.

Money will talk I imagine. It will go through

But it will be fantastic to watch the right on brigade of Lineker, Neville and the rest, so eager to announce their virtue given any chance, trying to somehow excuse a club in the Premier League being taken over in this way. Not just by an appalling regime which murders it's political opponents- home and abroad-, exports the most aggressive militant islamic extremism, tortures and imprisons homosexuals, treats women like dirt, lives on the back of a virtual slave workforce, considers execution an acceptable consequence of apostasy and is hopelessly corrupt and hypocritical, (you should see them drink on a plane when they are up and away!). Not just that,......but by an investment fund ran by the same people who are ripping them off for hundreds of millions in TV cash.

    It should be comedy gold.

I'm probably the only one, but I'd rather have the three chancers than this odious lot taking over us. I know they are useless and we are in the ****e. But at least we are still a club. With a takeover like that we would stop being a club, and become a vehicle for Saudi Arabia to immerse themselves into the fabric of western society, and put some political leverage in the bank. Supporters in any such case become the hapless stooges , helping to give an exterior, civilised gloss to a dark and repugnant country with no interest in football and no interest in the North East.

If that lot were taken over by the Rueben Bros alone then IMO fair enough. I'm sure they won't be squeaky clean with cash like that, who would be? But that is a different thing to being an arm of one of the most barbaric states in the world.

Over to you St Gary's, and the rest of the punditry. Let's see how you avoid upsetting the latest hand that feeds you.

Well they have Potch lined up as well as Kane, Bale a £90m player, most likely Neymar and Ronaldo will be next, but they might still moan ! if we are lucky we might get Danny graham back. i was thinking about hiring a new rolls royce and going through there and getting out with the usuall gear they wear and saying " where is the fantastic stadium" and they would say St James park you mean and i would reply no, the stadium of light ! open my togo or whatever they are called showing a SAFC shirt then jump back in the roller and bugger off for a laugh.

The fact that it’s because someone’s been robbing the FA’s money rather than the murders, enslavement and other human rights issues really does show the gutter that the game is in mind.

The Mags likely get their nice clean takeover by the US consortium, who have no doubt bribed and displaced families to gain their wealth.

    Money, money, money.

They’ve played a blinder winning the owner’s league.

Corrupt regimes are being toppled, dictators and mass murderers are being killed right left and centre we have absolutely no chance of beating them this time.

No idea. Seems to me that no-one who knows is saying anything.

Everyone who is saying things doesn't know.

I’ve still got a feeling that it won’t happen like I have from the very start.

it’s just the timing of the whole thing.

I've been on their page reading the takeover thread, half of them think it's done, the other half are considering how and what to shout at now. Richard Keys and Bein headquarters be afraid, very afraid.
