Exactly as will happen here I'd expect if teams go down by PPG..

Which is really why they are trying to end the season.

You either finish the season according to the rules set out ..... or you abort the season..... with no relegations...

We may be entering a big mess... and all about money

    All rather disorderly.

In other countries the Government made the decision for them.

They are only threatening to sue - on the basis that the legal costs involved would be far less than the money they will lose through relegation. Which is a bit silly really - there's every likelihood that they would lose their case, in which case relegation would have been the cheaper option. To be honest, they deserved it - they've had a woeful season, in spite of having beaten Rangers twice.
It'll be interesting to see their proposal to restructure the league though - but I can't see how it can be achieved without other teams being adversely affected.

Laurence Bassini has pulled out of a proposed takeover of Charlton Athletic.

In the last fortnight he had agreed a £1.2m deal to buy the club, but he informed Tahnoon Nimer on Wednesday afternoon that he is not going to proceed.

Bassini told Sky Sports News there were numerous difficulties with the deal, including the presence of former owner Roland Duchatelet who still owns The Valley and also Charlton's training ground.

You have to wonder what he expected to get for that - a paltry sum for a football club really.

I think the fee he paid for WFC was also quite small, I'm sure any buyer takes on the debts as well.

Ouch - Deeney hitting back at the Liverpool fans saying their title isn't real etc!

Not sure its the wisest thing to do but will get them going.

I think the papers have taken a section of his interview where he comments about the league and Liverpool won't be seen or remembered as true champions due to the pandemic and of course its gone on Twitter to get clickbait.

The press are really good at this!!!
frustrating as things can get quite nasty when people dont understand the full context of what was said
The Press need to take a long hard look at themselves as they are practically inciting hatred and potentially provoking verbal assault

Yes - even with this Deeney story the various papers seem to have different headlines ways of reporting it.

Some just simply saying he will come back but others putting their twist on it.

People also complaining he managed to speak to the medical officer and they don't etc.
