There is a groovy thread "Politics." Isn't that a better thread for the majority of the last few days' comments?

I noticed Chesh and WJ are active there today.

...he was fact checked by Twitter the other day. Which was pretty funny. His mouth piece of choice finally pulling him up for fake news

Fair enough, that was the cost of North Sea production but the figure you quoted of $39.20 is the wiki figure for the UK cost of production.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Sea_oil

Do you have the Scottish cost? I am genuinely interested, not to have the argument.

96% of of oil production in the UK is from Scotland, very little oil in England, we produce more gas than oil, if you look on the map, can only see 2 green dots for England and Wales.so I would say it all comes under 1 figure

Just looking after you, matey. You're getting a wee bit too carried away with your Jimmy Krankie fantasies - and publicly too! :)

So we had our first "after lock down" NRL match last night. I wish they hadn't bothered but it was good to see sport back on the TV.

I told you not to trust Wikipedia.

If you look at an industry reporting outlet, you'll find that you're talking absolute pish. Again. In this Article, BP expect to reduce their North Sea production costs from $15 per barrel, to $12 per barrel. That's a huge difference from what Wikipedia tells you. Totally unreliable, mostly because it lags in information updates, plus anyone could edit it. Surely you're not the only person in the world that doesn't know how unreliable Wikipedia is?

    https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/BP-Cuts-North-Sea-Production-Costs-In-Half.html

Brent crude is trading at $35.19 as at 16:34 today.

    https://www.bloomberg.com/energy

Now I know maths is not your strong point, but even taking the higher cost against sale price, you're looking at a profit of $20+ per barrel.

Now please shut up. How many times have you come on here with a pile of pish & expect people to prove you're an idiot. Th oddest thing is that it doesn't even make you stop to think - you just move on to the next pile of pish.

I take it we've heard the last on oil, or are you keen to further embarrass yourself?

No, I just noticed you were talking pish again. Proof of this is in my previous post to this.

Still waiting to hear what a deficit GDP is. I've genuinely never heard of it.

I know what you are referring to here, & it might surprise you, but I know a lot more than you think. I didn't lie.

Indeed it does seem they had reduced costs up until Jan on this year, but as we are now in may with covid 19 and having to reduce how much oil is produced due to a glut of oil, Pritty much same costs but a lot less oil produced, I would think it's gone higher again, who knows, can you find the numbers for now ?

Funnily enough I’ve had a couple of rounds of golf in last two weeks. Whereas it was great to be back, the novelty has quickly worn off. No competition and basically no interaction with any other golfers as only allowed arrive a few minutes before tee off and forced to leave within five minutes of finishing. Not allowed use club house at all. It’s better than nothing but not a lot. Have a feeling the footie will be the same if it returns

Eire, new golfing term for you, a “Dominic Cummings” - a really long drive way out of bounds, but there’s no penalty. <laugh>

no apology necessary bud. Stay clear of Twitter it’s bad for your health.

re survey... daily mail is a Tory rag so readers should be supportive of him. YouGov poll gave similar results.
