my mum in law 18 months ago had a fall, not serious slipped in the bathroom … went into BRI "for a check up" 3 days later died" .. apology from the hospital [ a pre cursor to being sued ] which F i L wouldn't do he is 86 at the time, because the wrong medical care was taken out on night shift .. nurse only had a limited understanding of "English / procedures/ medication"!!!!
My greatest fear is being taken to the BRI or Bath RUH ….
HOPE IT WORKS OUT …. WELL

Anyone who has lost a close friend or family member gets all my sympathies in a very difficult time for us all. Special condolences to ROD from Canada.

I am watching the happenings south of the border in Trump land and I don't know whether any of you have seen the news today that well armed protesters are taking to the streets to demand an end to the lock down. Common sense and the Excited States of America live on different planets than the normal people so expect something to happen if the government refuse to meet their demands. Wake up and smell the roses is my advice to them because if you truly believe that your country and your president are the best in the world then just take time out and ask the rest of us out here suffering the same restrictions as you whether we think the same. Just in case you Americans are wondering where the rest of the world is then I would suggest you find out - but on reflection you probably don't give a rat's arse, as usual. Keep safe all of you.

well hopefully everyone did a few extra claps last evening for the emergency services /care / nhs I missed one, not deliberately came upstairs to check something on computer, and went down stairs and realised ...oooops
9 weeks coming up and some restrictions are being relaxed. Ive been managing my 2.5 to 4.5 mile walks [ not everyday] and took some really good photo's animals birds butterflies and plants. spending Tuesday nights in Edinburgh and Thursday nights on the mendips ...be ashame when this ends … means i will will have to physically go there ….whooooooooopeee.
have noticed that half the cars that used to be parked on drives etc are now NOT … WHERE HAVE THEY GONE???

I was out clapping every week,

I didn't realise what it was the first week, as I was sat in my garden having a beer at 8pm and I started singing, "If you all hate Bristol Rovers clap your hands", and the whole bloody neighbourhood joined in.

noticed on my walks that there is an absence of people now every walk would see at least a dozen - to 20 now its only about 6-8!
was thinking about stirring the conscience of some in our road who never bothered to do a single clap... one has used the NHS for over 20 years weekly ...do a flyer with thankyou for clapping and a sarcastic end line!

Personally think the best way to support the NHS is to stick to the rules . Several in my street have had garden parties with people not in their household with out even social distancing, but then clapped on a Thurs.

AR ..the biggest problem is half the country do not really comprehend the bigger picture .. they pick out bits that fit their idea of things ...like ... "you are less likely to get it from being outside" OR hey we are being paid no matter what, lets go for day trips or sleep overs .[ police report dozens sleep overnight in cars etc ] of the 1000 or so at durdle door on Sat how many returned on Sunday?? imagine just 2 carriers per 1000 were there on the energy sapping climb to top of cliff there breath could easily affect 6 or more! [ packed like sardines near the top and out of breath from the climb carrying all the kits and babies etc. THOSE 2 PLUS 6 could, come Tuesday /weds next week have generated 54 carriers! / infected ..that does not seem a lot but next week could potentially see 500 … and spread out in a 120mile radius ...
