The word "Mighty" Seriously how many god damn times do they have to say , he's had a mighty drive, mighty overtaking, getting as annoying as the use of the word "Unprecedented " which all the politicians and journos , use now to explain the fact they missed the blindingly obvious!

I can't stand the Pro Hamilton bias, how about some Button love for a change?

    No one has replied yet?

well Ill get the ball rolling. I think they are a little too biased to the british drivers when the sport is a global thing with talant from 24 drivers and 12 teams who we should all praise for good performances. Also they are maybe a little bit too dumbed down for fairweather fans compared to the ITV coverage.

Of course, there will always be something and as the saying goes, 'one cannot please all of the people all of the time'. Besides, since the ghastly Legard was beamed back to planet Zlod, I can forgive any minor irritations!

Still, since we're on the subject, here are a few things I've noticed:

    • Crofty's permanent err pseudo-laughter is totally false and sounds like a placatory, nervous chuckle to a bully who might 'get him' after err school. As well.
    • Crofty's verbal err launch control when he decides to go into err commentary overdrive mode to err describe the action when following one err driver. As well.
    • Err Crofty's insistent and err repetitive "eight double one err double one". AS well.
    • And there's something else err Crofty does that drives me nuts, AS well; but I can't quite err remember:
    • And something else err AS well.
    • CROFTY'S radio-like err credits as the programme closes: "this has been a blah-blah-blah production for Radio 5 live" (or whatever he is repeating in his sleep yet again. Look err Crofty, I don't care any more!).
    • Brundle frequently punctuates his sentences with the word "then". For instance, "Vettel then, leads the Grand Prix" (I intend to mention this next time I meet him). He also tends to emphasis the "Grand" of Grand Prix with an inverse inflection. What's that all that about?
    • Coulthard's inability to speak English is beginning to grate. What's this "Cares" he keeps going on about? (I'm told one presses a button to activate cares but I still see plenty of crashes, which suggests some do not care about cares). Similarly, Singapore had some very nasty "care-bs" at an artificial chicane which tended to activate launch control anyway.
    • Coulthard's inability to learn that Vettel is not pronounced "Vtell", in spite of Brundle's frustration resulting in him actually telling him "Vettle as in kettle". So what's all that about then David?
    • Jake Humphries occasionally terminates interviewees with a patronizing "Well done", even if there was nothing to congratulate. It's almost as if he's saying "Well done, you managed to speak on live TV to millions of people without looking too stupid".
So, nothing much really. Thank god then that someone activated Legard's err fully charged cares to err blast him back to the err alien planet he came from.
    AS
    well.

One more thing that annoys me is Jake Humphries and his iPad, he looks like a new age Hipster....

And if you think that the BBC doesn't love Hamilton and make excuse after excuse, what about this...... Remember it's not Hamiltons fault he's a kid who doesn't learn from his mistakes, it's the rules fault for not letting him bash other drivers out of his way....

Nothing really bothers me about the BBC's coverage, mostly because I know it could be so much worse.

can't help but notice that if Brundle and DC are talking about something and then something else happens on track, they will always switch between the two topics using the word "AS". then they never end up finishing what they were originally talking about. E.g. "But there was something Paul Hembrey was telling me about on the grid, AS we see Jenson Button sizing up Fernando Alonso". This isn't a real example but you see what I'm getting at. They never end up revealing what Paul Hembrey said.
But apart from that nothing really bothers me.

I kind of fell out with Andrew Benson after reading his post-Canada blog.

"Button pulled off the drive of the season in Montreal and is now 2nd in the championship, but Hamilton is still the only driver who can realistically challenge Vettel for the title."

In fact, most of his blogs are the same:

"Great drive from [insert race winner here]. Ok, now that's out of the way, let's talk about Hamilton..."

    Jake annoys me immensely.

Also has anyone seen Mark Hughes BBC column? He has basically said that the new rules have made overtaking harder for Hamilton???! Which does not reallly make much sense because a) they make overtaking easier, and b) Hamilton and any other driver can and do overtake normally anyway.

I dont like Brundle and Coulthard bashing Schumacher all the time. He doesnt deserve so much criticism.

welcome to the forum Frim Pong. Your name is so big it spreads to the comment side <laugh>

I think the original ITV lineup wasnt too bad with Murray, Brundle, Jardine and Mr Jim Rosenthal but then we got left with Allen, Blundell and bloody Steve Rider

Cheers dude, youre right about the original lineup actually.

Hated Steve Ryder, held his mic like he was about to belt out a show tune. As for Blundell...jeez.

That article is complete nonsense, but at least Hughes isnt as Benson - who takes every oppurtunity available to tell us that Hamilton is "widely regarded as the fastest driver". The BBC should fire these fanboys and get Brundle and Kravitz to write the articles and blogs.

Bring back Murray is all I can say! :D

I get Speed coverage over here which isn't too bad at all really. Steve Matchett and David Hobbs are quite a comedy duo and I don't recall any form of bias, either for or against any particular driver. Will Buxton is turning out to be pretty good too. My only complaint is that you don't get the same level of post race as I imagine you do with the BBC these days.

All in all, I like it... None of them make my blood boil and you always get some laughs to boot. Feels quite natural.
