Couldn’t agree more. To turn it into a ‘Black v White’ thing is playing right into the hands of the oppressor.
Like what’s been done here, they need (imo) to weed out the racists and psychopaths from the US police. Seems to me, some Of them out there are completely out of control.
A bit like ours in the 70’s and 80’s....but with guns

Agree completely. The strange thing is, based on my perception, that the US have been more successful in recruiting BAME men and women into the police force than the UK has. May be it's just that there are geographical pockets of white supremacist police in the US.

The sooner the world at large accepts that there is good and evil everywhere and that it is not pre-determined by colour, race, religion or sexual orientation the easier it will be to eradicate this. The problem however in America is deeply entrenched. Charging someone who seems to have no excuse at all for what he seems to have done does not however mean that he will be convicted or punished appropriately. We still have the world-beating American justice system to contend with.

Johnson has told Cummings that he's on his 'last chance' and that he won't tolerate any more 'mistakes'.

I thought he'd done nothing wrong?

I anticipate a long procedure over jury selection, as the defence seeks to make it as white as possible (just as OJ Simpson's team made his jury as black as possible). As you say, racial issues in America are deeply entrenched

No guarantee they'll get a 'guilty'. 3rd degree murder is manslaughter over there. Strange that the other three haven't been charged yet...

Yes, 3rd degree murder isn't really murder at all under English law because it involves unintentional killing. In England, all murder must have the intent to kill or cause GBH (mens rea).

So this cop is being done for manslaughter which seems right. He didn't intend to kill or cause GBH, but he was in some way punishing the victim for resisting arrest (in the video I saw, the victim was not resisting, but it's perfectly possible that he did resist off video, which is why the cops had him on the floor)

As to likelihood of being found guilty, this will depend on jury selection as stated, and also where the matter is tried. Jurists from a wealthy, well to do area that may be plagued by crime from young men of African American heritage are probably more likely to acquit

And if acquittted, expect yet another round of rioting

Do you think our police should use the same tactics. Kneel on someone's neck until they pass out or die?

If they do, what should be their next move, should the person complain that they can't breath, or that it's killing them? Carry on, or let them take a couple of breaths and then reapply the force again?

Should there be a limit on age, say 16+ for various offences, knowingly or unknowingly passing a fake £20 note, for example?

The guy had no pulse two minutes before the knee was taken off the neck. This was very much murder albeit harder to prove.

I've read they must have known each other, victim a security guard where the Pig often worked. Pre- meditated murder probably if he held his neck down for 8 or 9 minutes.

Right I’ve noticed the actions of Corbyns relatives be mentioned in the past, the only reason I can possibly see that as being newsworthy is if it in some way reflects on him, as they aren’t public figures in any way. Otherwise what’s the point right.

in other news former Tory party member, journalist and tv personality Rachel Johnson in the news I see

Our police don’t kneel on someone’s neck until they pass out and die (at least not nowadays). They even have to fill in a form if they have to use handcuffs.
