My mrs wont go out today either. I'm desperate to get the kids out of the house for a walk but we will see how it pans out in the next week of so.

Doubt social distancing when having lines and using the same notes either.

    1. Plans to make UK MPs vote in person in Westminster as the coronavirus crisis continues are "a real threat for democratic representation and political equality", an electoral reform group says.

Leader of the House of Commons Jacob Rees-Mogg is due to put forward a motion later today preventing virtual voting - as used by MPs since lockdown began - from continuing.

If the motion passes, MPs may have to form kilometre-long queues to maintain social distancing if a majority of them want to vote in the traditional division lobbies.

The Electoral Reform Society says it is "beyond a farce" and unacceptable when virtual voting is a proven alternative. It called the plans "a real threat" where MPs have medical conditions requiring them to stay away from work during the pandemic.

Why would the Tories care about democratic representation if it means bully boy Boris can have his pack of braying hounds backing his attacks so he doesn't look such a blustering bluffer.

disgraceful cowardice from 365 mp's. but I'd rather stick pins in me eyes than share the same room as Piers Morgan.

Not a fan of Piers Morgan myself but he doesn't give these bastards the likings of a dog when they go on his programme. Either Tory MP's are afraid to answer his questions or have been told not to go on there. Disgrace either way, but my money is on the second one. Boris is doing what Trump does, refuse to speak to media that aren't sycophants .

I'd normally agree with you about Morgan.

But, despite his glaring self seeking pomposity, I think he's been the only person to ask the questions I'd have asked myself.

The blatant refusal to actually answer the questions is shameful but he just asks them again.

During this crisis I've had a few changes of opinion, rare for me.

Morgan and Sturgeon have gone up in my estimation.

Johnson, Marr and Laura Kuenssberg have been disappointments, all as weak as piss.

As an island we had the perfect opportunity to snap the borders shut, track & trace any victims, etc ...

... but we lacked the courage to act because of how it would affect us economically.

How we've paid since then <doh>

What's the feedback from the Isle of Wight track and trace?

Rumour has it your phone needs to be less than 3 years old And it drains your battery.

Android and apple phones also didn't talk to each other.

Funnily enough, it appears to have been a **** up, so isn't mentioned

It was always an obvious smokescreen that could never work ...

... no one actually took it seriously which was embarrassing.

What was the cost of it, does anyone know?

Apple iPhone is usually 2 years behind the latest Android version, it will be interesting to hear Boris's spin on it...

I don't think we will hear anything about the app for at least 2 more weeks.

The government promised track and trace and have delivered it, whether it is fit for purpose like most things they promise is immaterial

From today's coronavirus briefing with Matt Hancock:
128k test yesterday out of 206k capacity so are people not going for them as well?

    1570 cases confirmed lowest.
479 admissions, down from over 3k
606 on mechanical ventilators, lowest since mid-March
    111 deaths yesterday, lowest figure.
    Total 39045

This desease is not done yet. If you have any symptoms get a test and isolate.

    Dentistry to start next week.
LGBT thanked for their help who work in NHS and social care.

We need a different economy going forward.

Safe for people to go outside in a cautious way.

Test and trace since last Thursday up and running and successful. People who have been contacted have obeyed and willingly gone into isolation. There maybe flare ups in the future. 9k have been contact trace and are using a web based system as opposed to phone. Figures to be published shortly as not reliable at present.

If the r rate goes up national or localised measures will be reintroduced. Local action is important, from shutting a&e and mutual aid from other areas.

Law of lockdown has been changed today, flipped to outlining what you cannot do, minor adjustments, back to school, small cautious changes and we keep our resolve to maintain it.

GPs have been inundated with queries today from people who have been shielding: this is the right time to change the advice.

Changes are being made on a UK basis, and guidance of driving over boarder for recreation are in place. Guidance has the same principles but mechanism to implement are different= political or devolved, we do everything to simplify and unify and over time they are ironed out.
