Hi guys hope everyone is well and staying safe
With the wife having a bad back it was up to me to do the weekly grocery shop. Well we all queued up paying attention to social distancing and only allowed into the supermarket when told, keeping well apart and being shown to a checkout only when it was clear no stress no hustle and bustle. I must say what a very civilised way to do the shopping and I for one would welcome this practice remaining in place when this is all over

If you could choose one custom we have now to remain when this is all over, what would you choose?

I work for the NHS in a front line admin role. What I would like is for people to keep treating all NHS staff as they are (mostly) doing now. It’s a pleasure to go to work and be treated nicely without abuse being thrown our way

When this is all over I think it's a racing certainy that this government or any other government dare not treat the health service with budget cuts or derisory pay increases. Unfortunately I believe you will always have morons to deal with but the majority of the population will have your backs and we won't stand for any nonsense

I have been lucky to have worked with and indeed filmed frontline staff like you Roston, so huge respect. I think and hope we shall see a very different society, world on many fronts. The full & proper ongoing funding for the NHS, the frail & vulnerable in society, a fairer and kinder society, climate change, respcet nd honesty at Government levels, global new organisations to work co-operatively to sort out the many messes we have left.

However, at our community level, the one custom I would like to see retained is civil, sensible, less frequent mass shopping, perhaps even a fortnight lockdown/break every year so we can appreciate the beauty of peace, quiet, Nature and all slowing down for a bit! While I am deeply concerned about the misery and wretchedness of some vulnerable children and women, it has been a time of great uncertainty, but also reflection and hopefully, strengthening of friendships.

Beyond what has been touched on above, I'd like the recent environmental improvements and notable recovery to be maintained beyond the lockdown. Better air quality, reduced pollution, and a general improvement in the world's oceans and waterways (particularly in places like Venice) would be nice to see continued.

Ultimately, we are responsible for safeguarding the planet's future. If that means reduced flights / air traffic around the world, and gestures like keeping beaches free for newly hatched turtles to make their way to the water with reduced interruption and threat (beyond their natural predators), then we'll all benefit going forwards.

    A tragedy and a farce.

We still have no clue whether the season will be finished. I was all for resuming the season for as long as it took but it looks as though League One would be several weeks behind and may be wound up almost by default - The Football League should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

This experience has renewed my commitment and love of our club. Where I was running out of patience and hope for our future I now can’t wait to put my heart and soul into cheering on our side once again.

I think the main issue is that a lot of a League One and League Two clubs rely on gate income and money spent at the ground, compared to Premier League sides. So I can understand why many clubs at our level are hesitant to play the season out, as they’d be losing money. Not to mention the issue of player contracts due to expire at the end of June and how that would impact teams. Chances are that the season will be settled on a points per game basis, but any way they decide to end it (short of playing out the games) will be considered unfair by at least a few clubs. Thanks to our capitulation in form from December / January, we’re out of the running for promotion whatever way we slice it.

While I’m definitely missing out on going to games, the pre-match pub routine, and the joy of celebrating goals - I haven’t missed football nearly as much as I initially thought.

I hate to say it, but with everything else that’s going on, Third Division Football really doesn’t seem that important.

    Ain't that the truth ^

We just had a night full of looting and fires in La Mesa. You won't see it in the news in England because they are concentrating on the bigger cities but check out La Mesa on Twitter to see what went down in my neighbourhood.

Two miles from where I live now and the city I lived in for 8 years got real messy last night. It got worse after dark with looters coming in from out of town and burning and looting small businesses and shopping malls. Two banks were set on fire, vehicles ablaze and supermarkets and department stores robbed.

We've been out this morning to help the community clean up after the peaceful protest at the police station turned sour. I hope it doesn't kick off again tonight.

Much more to worry about than football whatever level, the only sensible thing to do is postpone until it’s deemed safe to continue.
