Rumours are circulating that AW is interested in signing Michael Owen, does he never learn? (Full story: Caught Offside) The last thing we need is another injury prone player clogging up the treatment room. Doh
Not having this! And not sure Ferguson would let him go! Seems to be speaking highly about him here http://www.theplayersnet.com/fergus...ed-striker-michael-owen-as-fantastic-article/
I wouldn't be opposed to a £1m bid in Jan. He could make a good impact sub Proven goalscorer for many years Even with limited time, he's scored more at Utd than £50m Torres has with the Chavs
I thought we should have gone for Michael Owen a few years back and especially when he was available on a free transfer. Not sure what he would require in terms of salary though.
do you think if fingpong and song had babys they would be the answer to arsenals problems? Could call it songpong
Is another injury prone player really the answer? Although I think an out and out striker would be a good signing for you.
I didn't have anyone in mind particularly but someone Negredo or Llorente would be good, if a bit expensive. I think both our clubs missed a trick by not going for Ba on a free this summer, Pardew is trying to play him off a striker but he's far more effective leading the line. Hardly a risk with no transfer fee and he got 7 goals for a poor West Ham team in less than half a season, which isn't bad.
get him on a pay as you play and theres no risk wish we did the same with hargreaves aswell, nt that good but its an extra player
robin, I can see the benefit to actually having a 'fox in the box', we've needed one of those for years to convert the many chances we create. Owen has proved he can still score plenty of goals. but, would he leave Man U, a team he is a bench warmer for to join us as a bench warmer who won't give him trophies ? Do we need another injury prone player from Man U ?
