I suppose if you are suspicious anything has been contaminated, you can always follow normal BBQ procedures: spray on half a bottle of lighting fluid and apply a lighted match.

    Further EFL update:

PS it's 1st June on Monday. I presume will remain in the limbo of an extended "Spring" until the 2019/20 season is concluded one way or another and we can get our teeth into transfer dealings for 2020/21 etc.

With the end of the season having no fixed date at present.....we could show them the way by opening up our own SUMMER NEWS site on Monday.

Thinking about the rearranged FA Cup....and the Final being on the 1st of August....doesn't the first qualifying round usually start before that date in July for the new seasons trophy 2020/21.....:emoticon-0104-surpr.

So June 8th could be promotion day.....the EFL will be meeting all three divisions that day to hopefully resolve a few problems...Well that's the idea....:emoticon-0102-bigsm.

This doesn't affect our division directly but it does pave the way for the EPL and EFL to force through definitive decisions...............

Chaos taking centre stage in the Championship.....the EFL plans to restart the season on June 20th.

QPR manager Mark Warburton says it is ludicrous and at least three other clubs have raised concerns.

There has been 10 positive test for Covid-19 from Championship clubs in the latest round of testing.

Lee Bowyer, the Charlton manager, admitted that he was in a tricky position......"We have 15 out of contract ....six loans and nine of our own contracted players out" he said....they finish at the end of June and three of them...Top scorer Taylor, defender Chris Solly and Birmingham loanee David Davis said the will not play.

By the end of June there will a high percentage of clubs with many players out of contract and unwilling to play.

Charlton's Lyle Taylor says he will not risk injury by playing and losing out on a good transfer opportunity......there will be other players who might not come out in the open like Taylor with the same thoughts.....and will not show the same commitment in games......how does a club fight for promotion and especially against relegation with that attitude in their squad.

Where does that leave Division One players and their clubs who are very split about the way ahead.....and although Division 2 have said the seasons finished ...it still needs the EFL to agree to it.

Argyle I believe would be down to five players by the end of June.....we certainly wouldn't want the season to be played out....other Div 2 clubs our probably in the same position as us.

League 2 has already spoken and their season is over. League one are in my opinion likely to follow suit but the money clubs of course want to better themselves at the expense of the weaker ones. No integrity whatsoever any of them. The prize in the Championship is huge though and the money will make a number of clubs, that's management and owner of course not the players, think hard about doing what is right rather than right for themselves only. The clubs expressing concern along with players etc is only what we have known, and for that matter everyone has known from the close down of the season. These issues were inevitable. Why you might ask did nobody start to talk about alternatives in a serious manner long before now. My best opinion is that they bottled it as per normal. Football is showing itself up to be the pathetic farce it is. There are people who get paid hundreds of thousands of pounds to sort out problems and make decisions in the FA. They seem to do sweet FA for the money.

I mentioned the Charlton situation awhile back....with my son and grandson being season ticket holders....and the threat of relegation hanging over them....having Lyle Taylor showing his true colours and refusing too risk injury to help them out of relegation....because he doesn't want to miss out on a juicy transfer possibility.....I would hope interested clubs will take note that when the chips are down...you can't depend on Taylor rolling his sleeves up and getting stuck in. I doubt if he'll show his face anywhere near the Valley again.....and if he ever came back as an opposition player he'd be given hell from the terraces.
