Basically this. No news is good news to some. To others it’s bad news. It just depends on how you look at life. Glass half full or half empty. Chicken or egg first?
Which would probably have some clause into contract negotiations given it is close to season end etc?
So yet another suggested deadline has appeared. The release of the "final" WTO documents investigating the BeoutQ piracy in Saudi, due mid-June. Sounds like crap to me, the PL already have the docs. Can well imagine we'll see the docs released, and still there'll be silence. BBC are even reporting on the disgraceful silence from NUFC on the season tickets, a reminder of what a terrible non-club this has become. I can't be bothered with any of it, and will certainly give up if there's no takeover (Saudi or otherwise).
many will just roll with it... the way to handle the failed takeover is to say nothing and over time more and more just accept it and crack on.
Which would say probably any new contracts for players would have to have SA’s approval but approval not to be unreasonably refused or withheld.
I personally think the Premier League are solely culpable. They've allowed Ashley to ruin this club for 13 years, and there's been a number outside of NUFC who've been in the PL and had no repercussion. The PL need to be visible, not self-regulating. Anything could be going on in there - are clubs whingeing? Are the big hitters pushing back? Are Qatar making threats? We don't know. If that's happening, it's not in line with what they say, but they can't just change it all now. What you can see is a test which this consortium fits, yet we're 8 weeks and counting in with no comment from the PL. They're deliberately obfuscating this situation and the wider issue is how deep are the problems? Is corruption at play here that could come to light? This may be more than a takeover, this could be something far bigger. It's my belief that the PL have dug themselves a hole and have no ****ing idea how to get out of it. They're acting politically, more concerned with how they come out of this than any harm that may be caused to NUFC.
Matty won't leave...or at least not this summer/season. He'll be offered a new deal with a similar salary but with structured increments based on a number of criteria...it'll most likely be either reviewed in a year and he'll get what he deserves at that point, or he'll stay as he is or move on. His brother being under contract for another year will be enough for him to stay to at least see what happens under new owners. If he chooses to **** off before then he's obviously more interested in the money than playing for him home team in front of 52.000 (soon to be 80,000) geordies. With regards to the takeover, there's not a cat in hells chance the PL are going to tell the saudi's that their geld is no good here. If it's not good enough for the spineless, inept and corrupt PL then it's no good anywhere else and you are literally telling them that they will never be able to own a football club.....ANYWHERE.....EVER. Is somebody really gonna tell them THAT? Imagine the backlash not to mention potential legal problems it would cause if they blocked the deal to buy Newcastle but in a year or two's time allowed them to buy Man Utd or another premier league club. Besides....it's done anyway so we don't even need to think about it.
Just had a haircut, girl cutting my hair was lithuanian, flirty, pretty, sexy accent and what an arse.
WTO report is irrelevant. It apparently establishes a link between the Saudi State and beoutQ. PIF are however a separate legal entity and not responsible for the actions of the state. They are a company that manages their central fund. That has now established and funnily enough, the news stories have stopped. What is becoming clear is that the Premier League themselves are not fit for purpose. Fans have had money taken off them because these jokers are dithering.

Yep. I've just found out that Qatar have legally recognised no link between BeoutQ and PIF. So, again, it's nothing. It's the PL dithering. Just watch that Richard Masters interview again, he looks more like a local MP than the Chief Exec of the PL. Matt Hancock's more dynamic.
He had a smirk on his face too. Almost as if he was enjoying keeping fans on the edge. Smarmy bastard.
Surely if the deal failed then no comment from the club, the Saudis or the premier league suits them all. there seems to be an assumption that people should be told ... I disagree with that ..
they need to cancel the season, but given the Government have opted to stop the lockdown there's no point. it's a case of waiting for the next wave...
