Advice needed ! My son is looking at a property in south west Sholing, just off Upper Weston Lane - anyone got any genuine knowledge of the area ? Appreciate it !
What road? Would say it's not too bad around there as it's on the edge of areas rather than slap bang in Weston which I wouldn't recccomend.
Just had a look and although I don't know the road specifically I imagine it's quite nice round there, in between a few different areas (sort of borders Woolston, Sholing & Weston) which is always better than being stuck in the middle imo. Definitely nice enough round there imo - I'd live there. There's always a slight gamble of course with anywhere though.
So I was in my car, and I was driving along, and my boss rang up, and he said 'You've been promoted.' And I swerved. And then he rang up a second time and said "You've been promoted again.' And I swerved again. He rang up a third time and said 'You're managing director.' And I went into a tree. And a policeman came up and said 'What happened to you?' And I said 'I careered off the road.'
5 days since I've posted this and I've yet to see a single cyclist using it and it's already causing big traffic issues even at non peak times. Gonna be absolute mayhem once traffic gets back to normal levels. ****ing idiots.
Don't worry if we get a hard Brexit which is looking increasingly likely people will be too poor to run a car and many wont have a job to go to anyway.
My mate's wife left him last week. She said she was going out for milk and never came back. I asked him how he was coping. He said: "Not bad. I've been using some of that powdered stuff."
Some bloke just knocked on my door and said, "I have a parcel for your next door neighbour." I said, "You've got the wrong house then, mate."
What do yo call panic-buying of sausage and cheese in Germany? The Wust Kase scenario. The grocery stores in France look like tornadoes hit them. All that's left is de brie. I'll tell you a coronavirus joke now but you may have to wait two weeks to see if you get it. Now is not the right time to surround yourself with positive people. In 2033 will those children conceived during this spring's lockdown be known as the quaranteens? We've run out of toilet paper and are having to use old newspapers. Times are rough. A surfeit of coronavirus jokes is known as a pundemic.
Just seen this, Laxton Close is pretty quiet but is a cut way for students of a nearby Academy/ School. My Sister lived in nearby Bramley Close for years with no problems though. It is generally a pleasant and peaceful area with reasonable links to the city centre and a nearby Hypermarket at Bursledon.
