I'm not so sure. I think Nissan are playing a blinder here and are trying to ensure they get what they want out of the government to mitigate the costs of tariffs.
You clearly don't know much about Corbyn. Without his " seven out of ten" comment at the referendum the vote would have gone the other way. Corbyn is more of a Leaver than Boris. No, I'm a Starmer Remoaner.
Its certainly going to be a battle they cant afford to loose if they want to stay in power, the question is can they outwit the EU., who might back the French to win this one to give Boris a bloody nose. Some way to go on this one, interesting times ahead.
Imho, all that is happening is that Nissan are flexing their muscles in an attempt to achieve the same guarantees that Ghosn seemed happy to receive from May. Something that I did find interesting in @Farked19's original post was the way he appeared to be rubbing his hands with glee when he wrote " your factory is a gonner chaps". Could he be a Mag? Certainly it takes someone with a very warped mind to apparently celebrate at just the possibility of 000's losing their jobs! Thankfully, I don't think there's a cat in hell's chance of him being in a position to open the champagne - deal or no deal!
Exactly my thoughts on your banner. Nissan to move manufacturing of two Renault models to Sunderland?
I'm a smaller bird, a canary in fact. Always had a soft spot for The Mackems btw, and the North East in general. I would never be gleeful at working class people losing their livelihoods. I ran a business and employed people all my life and my greatest pleasure was that people looked forward to coming to work with me. I'm a Socialist of sorts, Dad would have loved Corbyn and his dad was jailed in the General Strike for leading a charge on the town hall at Lowestoft, although drink was involved. Ten years earlier he was a machine gunner on The Somme. I just think that you've been conned about Brexit. The motives for it are jingoistic and profit driven. There will be nothing good from it for you. Good luck lads, I mean that, but I think that you will need it after the No Deal that they are aiming for.
If you don't understand the significance of the question mark ('?'), I have no intention of explaining it to you!
Boris has been up to Dom's place in Durham doing a bit of casual labouring digging out foundations. Dom is going to build another "cottage" there seeing as he already has no planning permission or pays any council tax on the second "cottage" then he thinks it is "legal and responsible" to build a third (and avoid any planning permission or council tax on that as well) as a getaway for any Covid19 suffering Tory mates to escape to.
I have this strange feeling that you actually think I like the Tories where in reality I just hate them a bit less than labour and a lot less than the Lib Dem’s
