Just makes me cringe, thinking we once had a managing director like that, & was worse in some sense than the owners GFH if that's possible, truly dark days indeed. The road to recovery has been long & hard since bates,Haigh,GFH, but thank god look at us now descent owner, managing director, a top manager, the future really is bright, & those dark days are now just a distant nightmare/memory.
    Good afternoon all

Bates,Haigh,GFH. It seems they couldn't even trust each other. What a nightmare to be in business with that shower.

It was Haigh that got rid of GFH, and at least got us on some kind of footing with Cellino.

It was all a real mess, I know Cellino was as mad as a hatter but he was probably the only person that would have taken us on at that time. So as much as he frustrated and bewildered me with his manager/ coaches hiring and firing, I at least thank him for putting us back on some sort of road to recovery.

In his own incompetent way I thought Cellino's intentions were for the good of the club as well as himself. I think he genuinely loves the game but batshit crazy.

Which will undoubtedly double or treble if we’re promoted. Wonder if Bates due a bonus too

Yes and half a dozen players when the club went bust.

Aye and about 18 managers since. Looks like we could lose money by getting promoted <whistle>

Bates did not want us to go up. He was raking it in with fans paying prem prices for pound World players. He bust the club to avoid paying out. Then he sold off the best players and paid himself millions every year. So when he sold he had already made his money.

So next time anyone has a gripe at Radz just look back at that shower of double dealing, thieving twats and be thankful for what he has done.

Bates to Radz was a good jump. I still can’t believe how we leapt from Heckingbottom to Bielsa though <yikes>
