Since you have highlighted the Anti-Semitism issue I would suggest that if anyone is having a laugh it must be you.

The Chief Rabbi, complained about the Labour Party and it's anti-Semitism.
This is the first time I can recall any holder of that post getting involved in a Party Political Issue.
Then we have the resignations of Jewish Labour MP's.
I can give you a quote from one of them, Luciana Berger said she had become "embarrassed and ashamed to remain in the Labour Party" .She said: "I cannot remain in a party which I have come to the sickening conclusion is institutionally anti-Semitic."
I remember her in particular as a member of the Executive of her Constituency Party was happy to be interviewed by BBC News about the resignation.
The Lady was, to put it mildly rather smug.
Her response was along the lines of, 'Good. That's another one down then'.

Long Serving Jewish Members were deselected by the ultra left who had gained control of local parties.
Central Office did nothing about any of this.

And I, like many others, get my News, not from the Press but from TV.
I should stress that I have no idea if Mr Corbyn is or was anti Jewish.
But the claim was that The Party was and that it's own rules, there to combat this sort of conduct, were not being followed.

The statue to Astor was erected to commemorate her being the first elected female MP to take her seat. Whoever was the sitting PM would have been expected to be involved in this event to mark a moment in parliamentary history. Astor's reprehensible views were well aired at the time that this happened.

Out of curiosity I researched the United European Jews organisation.
I'm no sort of expert on Judaism so, not surprisingly, I'd never heard of it before.
But then there are lots of VERY odd Christian organisations I have little understanding about too.

As I understand it they are by no means popular amongst the World's Jewish population.
Mr Corbyn had been due to meet with a group from this organisation but cancelled it when the press highlighted some of their views.
As far as I understand it they are considered by members of the Faith to be rather hard-line, in the religious sense.

You will, I'm sure have noted that I have not said that Mr Corbyn is Anti-Semitic or racist.
But he has presided over an anti-Semitic political party and done little to enforce the rules that were in place to correct the situation.
I do however believe that Mr C is anti The Israeli Government.
It's a reasonable political stance to take.
I'm anti the Israeli Government as are many Jews around the World and fractionally under 50% of the Israeli electorate.

Time will tell if Sir Kier will have better luck in repairing the damage.
In the past The Party has been successful in shoeing in Ladies into safe seats to get the Party's male/female balance improved in The House
Would those same tactics be acceptable I wonder in returning Jewish MP's?
If they were it would be send a very powerful message to the country in general.
