    Yeah true .
I remember working for a building firm .
They employed a retired police man to do the weekly wages .
He was just aloof with a superior attitude

I've seen what Trump has said several times today regarding George Floyd, my analysis of what he has said, strikes me as one of two things; he's either incrediably thick, or he's a racist. Just listening to the context of his words today, is uncomfortable to hear. Now he may have been born into a life of wealth, however, I do not believe he is thick, hence why he is able to be so manipulative. I believe he was being manipulative with his words today, in fact so much so, I actually felt he was taking the piss. Trump will do, whatever he has to do to save his own arse, but be sure of one thing, he will appeal to the middle class, middle aged, white vote of America. He represents, everything that is bad about America. Nothing will change while he's in power, I would urge the black vote to protest vote at the ballots, and vote this piece of shhite out, as should every person who believes in a democratic society. If Trump gets in for another term, expect a state more akin to China.

He’s both imo mate. He’s also a sociopath and a classic narcissist.

He’s spent his entire life surrounded by money, privilege and sycophants blowing smoke up his arse.

His comments today were absolutely incredible even by his standards.

There really does seem to be a "them and us" feeling developing with some coppers.

Having said that, it's interesting that they're blaming the officer in charge, but there's no doubt regardless of the order given they were absolute ****s in the way they pushed that old bloke AND then tried to walk off leaving him on the ground. How is that clearing the area <doh> Thick ****s.

In regards to the old guy, i do blame the officer in charge. The cop was going to ignore the old boy, until the officer barked.

I very much doubt there is leniency with ranking officers for failing to follow an instruction.

I also don't believe the cop intended to hurt the guy, but a chain of events from that officers bark, led to serious injury.

So certainly accountable, but i don't believe there was any intent.

I'd agree ... the COP looked distressed immediately after ... but that they all carried on walking past is deplorable ... also the outraged guy who got arrested should face no charges ... unlike the senior official who said the old boy had tripped ... he should be sacked.

I don't believe they wanted to hurt him, but you just don't push an old bloke like that. I don't make any distinction, fck them all tbh.

Agree to an extent but would say if you do push an old bloke like that and he falls and splits his head open the only way to act is to give aid and call an ambulance.

The cop didn't mean to hurt him, he bends down to check on him and his face is bright red behind his mask when you catch a glimpse.

Still, use some ****ing common sense. Don't push old people. While they were following orders like mindless idiots, they weren't ordered to disengage their ****ing brains. If the order was clear the square and someone left a toddler behind, would they have kicked the toddler over? No, or perhaps yes.

Guy wasn't malicious, but he was a ****ing idiot. I dont think a ****ing idiot should be in such a job, especially when firearms are involved.

Trump is a narcissist and a psychopath, as in he thinks only of himself and has no empathy for anybody else.

The comments about George Floyd looking down and thinking 'it's a great day' is about as crass as it gets, but it's typical Trump, trying to milk a situation for his own gain and not giving a **** about anybody or anything else. Which is precisely what's going on with the level of police brutality in these protests...Trump trying to milk a situation for his own gain.

He instructed the Police to 'dominate' the protesters and went as far to threaten his own people with military rule. It's him trying to divert attention away from his woeful handling of coronavirus and in an opportunistic way paint himself as the 'law and order' President, a man that is needed to protect people from 'rioting anarchists'. It's classic campaign tactics and It's no coincidence that this is an election year.

The comments in the speech about protecting 'your 2nd amendment rights' as his troops cleared away peaceful protester with rubber bullets and tear gas was a direct appeal to the gun toting NRA supporters and that stunt outside the church was pure PR bullshit. 'look at me, I'm a man of God, here to protect you' . He knows that **** appeals to his right wing supporter base and it's why he plays on it.
