Ross County have spent around £35,000 on buying their own virus testing machine. No longer do they have to wait a day or two for results, they have them in 20 minutes. They are offering use of it to other sports clubs. As they are spending £5,000 a week on private tests, it could prove to be a good investment. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52947494
That's a lot of money for a small club like that. Their average attendance is around 4600 - and a matchday ticket is only £25, so god only knows where they get the money from.
You'd have to define 'rich'. They are owned by the MacGregor family, who run Global Energy Group - and their net worth has fluctuated over the last few years, various reports say from £300 million down to £105 million. So I guess they could have donated it. The average first team salary is only around £55k per annum - which equates to around £12 million, the bulk of which, I'd hazard a guess, the family would be subsidising, so there is a limit to how much they would be prepared to put into the club.
They can rent it out. I can see it paying for itself in a very short while regardless of that. £30k is potentially a snip.
League One and Two cancelled and decided by PPG. Play offs will be played. Will Stevenage go down or be saved by Macclesfield off field issues ?
Manchester United were forced to cancel their friendly with Stoke at the last minute after the Championship side's manager Michael O'Neill tested positive for coronavirus. The sides were due to meet at United's Carrington training centre but the match was immediately abandoned without kicking a ball when the Northern Irishman tested positive, with United insisting none of their squad came into contact with him.
As he is the manager he must have had contact with his players. Under the track and trace regulations should all the players now be isolated?
Seems it's business as usual for everyone else .. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52986959 Maybe it's different depending on who you are or what your job is ?

Football back in Spain - Seville derby. Given it was a local derby probably not a surprise fans turned up. They will hope its an exception- not the norm. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52875491
Will pubs near football grounds be allowed to open on match days? That must be a potential risk for crowds.
Agreed.... and they will be desperate to open too.... .will have to be a quota and one in one out etc
