I just don’t get the whole mask thing.
If it gives the population a small benefit then fine, I will admit my feelings are wrong. But is that small benefit offset by not using them correctly and spreading? I have no idea.
Personally I feel masks, in general, are a waste of time. As Sb has demonstrated, people don’t have the wherewithal to do it correctly - they can’t even take care of there own ****ing rubbish. I will wear them if I have to - and try to use them in the best way I possibly can - but I don’t believe they will be the answer.

I personally think it's a load of bollox and yet another nail to hammer in the government coffin. I wont knock anyone for wearing one, nor for not wearing one but c'mon, first no scientific evidence then a little, then a little more and now only past a certain date. Load of ****e, they just make it up as they go along!

Senior figures from across the NHS have issued an urgent plea for a comprehensive plan to tackle a second wave of coronavirus infections, as Boris Johnson continues to lose public confidence in his handling of the pandemic.

Amid persistent fears among scientists that the virus remains too prevalent to ease the lockdown further, the prime minister has been urged to ditch “cheap political rhetoric” that risks eroding the public’s adherence to lockdown measures in the months ahead.

Your daily reminder that it’s too soon to suggest the government hasn’t done an excellent job.

According to the Sunday Times the threat of 3.5 million jobs lost in the hospitality industry alone if the sector isn’t opened up by mid July will see a speeding up of ‘easing’ lockdown measures. One metre instead of two, opening beer gardens and outside eating, outside events, end of Sunday trading restrictions etc etc. All will be justified by ‘science’. Meanwhile a national insurance holiday for employers and temporary VAT cut being considered.

This country must be almost unique in having an economy almost entirely based on shopping. This is where the true power of the individual lies, not in the ballot box. Withholding (or losing) your spending and borrowing leverage terrifies the cabal.

Tories plan to pay for everything by borrowing, earning them the nickname ‘blue socialists’.

For all those convinced that they had COVID19 well before the wave of hospitalisations and deaths started, perhaps you had one of these:
    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/general-information.html

Apparently there was a lot of OC43 about end of last year and early this year. I have never understood how so many people could have had something which looks very like COVID19 but weeks or months before we saw any serious impact in the deaths figures. A possible explanation.

Chin up Stainsey! They really are going to give frontline workers a COVID medal!
