Good Morning. It's Thursday 25th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Bin Laden spotted at Elland Road Leeds United have come under attack after a cutout of Osama Bin Laden placed in the stands at Elland Road as part of their 'crowdie initiative'! The club have sold more than 15,000 life size cut outs in a bid to fill the stands. The gaff was only rectified when a fan spotted the former Taliban leader sat next to him in the stands. Surely, we can't be surprised to see a few unusual faces , I'd be amazed if they weren't any Jimmy Saville's, Peter Sutcliffe's or high profile politicians in the stands! Are you insulted by this, or do you put it down to humour and high spirits. Comedian David Baddiel was quoted on twitter as saying: "What's amazing about this is that someone at Leeds is educated enough to realise that even a fake crowd should not be entirely white, but not educated to know who Osama Bin Laden is." please log in to view this image Bamford tops list of missed chances Patrick Bamford has topped a list of most missed opportunities in the Championship. According to 'Footy Accumulators' Bamford has missed 27 big chances this season alone. The former Chelsea and Boro hitman was second favourite, just behind Fulham's Mitrovic to pick up the golden boot award in the Championship this term, but instead constant mistakes in front of goal have cost the clubs many points. Bamford is not the only Leeds player in the top 10; Harrison has been credited with missing 12 sitters this term. Leeds parted with over 4m in agents fee's in the last 12 months. Leeds Utd have parted with just over 4m in agents fee's between February 1, 2019 and January 31, 2020. FIFA regulations since 2015 have meant the details of fees and transactions must be published for all to see. Their spend was the fourth highest in the Championship, behind Fulham, Swansea and Stoke City. The transactions include the departures of Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Jack Clarke and Pontus Jansson and the loan signings of Helder Costa, Ben White and Jack Harrison, alongside new contracts for the likes of Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Kalvin Phillips, Mateusz Klich and Pablo Hernandez! please log in to view this image
Morning Elland. Personally like a lot of things in this world I take with a pinch of salt and the cut out doesn't offend me, it's a joke. But as usual in the apologetic, easily offended world that we live in, some saddo will be offended. We didn't need a stats chart to know Bamford would be top of the missed chances list. Morning all by the way. Oh that unfunny chelsea supporting twat is just that, any chance to slag Leeds Utd and make himself look good, he'll do it. Absolute dickhead.
Morning all. Baddiel doesn't know what he's talking about if he thinks someone at the club has set the crowdies up. And we know that ANYONE can buy a crowdie, I've seen several posts on twitter etc with other clubs supporters trying to wind us up with by buying a crowdie of one of their players - thanks for the £25 lads ! And have the club really SOLD 15,000 crowdies ? Weren't season ticket holders given the option of a freebie as part of their package ?
At least somebody in the UK knew who Bin Laden was, at one of our NRL matches there was a crowdie of Dominic Cummings and because he wasn't recognised it went to air with him in the stands, but to be fair there was also one of Hitler, who probably should have been recognised
Good morning barndoor bamford at least is top of something hes hopeless. Could someone with a twitter account start a rumour it was Baddiel himself who Allegedly bought the crowdie. Could be the only sort of publicity he gers these days self generated.
Morning, It seems Baddiel doesn't realise that the crowdies are of the people who paid for them. Perhaps he should get the whole story before commenting.
Morning all A cutout of Osama Bin Laden don’t offend me at all, it’s like Shako say’s, it’s a joke And who is that f’ing idiot David Baddiel???? Regarding Bamford the stat don’t tell us anything we didn’t already know And there are being used far too much money on agents, been saying that for years, it's just ridiculous
Morning team, Did anyone use the LUTV streaming service to watch the Cardiff match ? If so were then any problems ? It's been well reported that the EFL's ifollow service suffered major problems due to volumes (as predicted) of traffic but I guess that was for multiple 3pm KO's.
Morning all. To describe Bamford as hopeless indicates that you are unaware of the valuable contribution he gives to the team.
Morning all. Doesn’t bother me what any non Leeds fans say about Leeds. Not in the slightest. Just gives me a warm feeling that some day we’ll piss them up by winning promotion. Bin laden was funny I thought. At least we can sell crowdies unlike other clubs. Is that a golden boot or rubber boot as mentioned by the way
There used to be a below average 'comedian' donkey's years ago called Baddiel. If it's the same guy, then it looks like his career has crashed even further if he's reduced to making sarky comments that don't even make you smile. My LUTV worked fine too. Well, from 6 minutes into the match. I thought it was a 12:15 ko. As for these 'chance' numbers, the information is not complete. It doesn't offer a percentage alongside it. Let me illustrate: If Bamford missed 27 of 270 chances, then he's got a 10% miss rate. If Smith missed 10 of 20 chances, then he's got a 50% miss rate. Highly inaccurate numbers, I agree, but it's just an illustration to reflect that we make far more chances than any other club in the Championship.
What contribution? Do you mean the over 40 offsides he has made, the staggering 2 assists and the 13 goals?
Bamford is ****e. End of. Possibly the worst Leeds player I've seen in my lifetime and I went home and away in the first season in League 1 when we signed anyone with 2 legs.
