I'd obviously take it if it was us but it's not what I'd want. I can't imagine how I'd feel sitting at home watching Man City held to a boring 0-0 draw in an empty echoing stadium. How joyous would it actually be?
Why would you focus on this one game? I'd be overjoyed at our performance all season long that allowed us to win a title this early in such a way.
Were we ever to win The Title, I wouldn't care if the deciding game was played in an empty stadium in Greenland, as long as we got the required result. The real jubilation, and I'm on much firmer ground here, would come when the Open Topped Bus inched it's way through the singing throng, along Fawcett Street, across The Bridge and on to The Stadium.
I believe there are a few quality young American footy players in Germany at minute. If they got a decent coach they might be one to watch in the next few years.
I agree mate. You only have to look at the euphoria of some our great escapes. Could you imagine that amplified in winning the league at home? The way they've walked the league they deserved a full Anfield erupting at the final whistle. I'm sure they're taking it with bells on but as a neutral I feel bad for them.
I thought so too, but then we couldn't beat Trinidad and Tobago. England has the best young players. Sancho, Alexander and Mount, just to name a few. You might be the favourites next time around.
BBC breaking news: "30 years of hurt are over! " FFS, I thought it was going to be an old clip of Nelson Mandela being released from prison Don't worry Liverpool, we've shared in your suffering ...
Liverpool should have played after Man c, then at least they could have celebrated on the telly in their own stadium. They should do and open top bus tour in September, and i am chuffed for Jordan henderson again our most successful ex player ever ?
A cynic would say that Man City gave away that penalty deliberately ... .... so that Liverpool don't win the title against them.
It's a strange one isn't it - you've got to be delighted to be lifting the trophy - but you're lifting it to a few cameramen and the other team and no one else. Sad how it is all in all. If we won the title - yes I'd be absolutely elated. But to be elated on my selfie stick in my house is nothing like the feeling of being in a ground with almost 50000 SAFC fans with everyone hugging (as it would and should be). Watching title wins in previous years compared to this makes you hope it can get back to normal soon. Think, fwiw, next season might be a very good season. Liverpool, City and Chelsea all making headway. I like how United are looking at the minute too and add Leicester to the mix. Might be one of the most exciting PL seasons ever as there is more quality at the top. I like Lampard and how he's done things at Chelsea - Solksjaer may not be the greatest manager ever but he's passionate and I like how he's handled things. Got some learning to do. Klopp & Guardiola speak for themselves (although I'd like to see how either of them did with a club like ours - and that's not me saying "Get one of them in" just that I think they'd struggle without severe financial backing)
Mind it would be kind of funny I spose, if the skunks happened to reach FA Cup Final. play in an empty Wembley Stadium and win it!
I had to laugh at the main BBC coverage of Liverpool's title win. "30 years of hurt." Meanwhile LFC describe the fans celebrations as 'wholly unacceptable'
