That's true mate. In fact if not for your excellent contribution, of one post this year, it would barely have been worth reading. Your last four threads, in 2012, were the highlights of the last decade tbf ... ... all memorable, especially the two about Robert Huth
Unfortunately this is a football forum about a football club that has not played a game for months and is unlikely to for a few months more. Even then it is another season in the turd division Other clubs are playing... There is a ongoing never ending saga about new owners.. So it is all very boring football wise and all we can debate/argue about is racism or good mr white funnies...we could be in fact just as well sit round knitting and making jam, listening to the odd invited speaker give a lecture. Which is something many women of a certain age do anyway. It could have the initials WI which stands for Wearside Imaginers
Most forums have tumbleweed blowing through them tbh ... ... if people want football chat they should chat about football instead of moaning about people not chatting about football.
Yep, and looking at the players leaving the club, anything I say is going to be @#$^^&*¥£€ as for our present owners @×÷$/%_^_&€&((... so I am not sure if I have much if anything to say that would be constructive about the club atm. Also pizzed as I have just cancelled golf this PM cos of donner und blitzen forecast..
Anyone watch that Methven YouTube video? It’s worth a watch but is over an hour. He did make one valid point about our capability (large fan base etc.) to have the largest revenue streams outside of the Prem. If only we were owned by people and employees with the experience and talent to maximise this.
I amongst others decided to e mail RAWA and fanzines with our concerns about the owners and how we need a collaborative approach with what fans need to do next. I’m not mag like, I’m too old to be bothered about what people think. I’ve had disappointments all of the time watching Sunderland, but this is different. I want my sons and their kids to have a League club to support. I feel a bit like Citizen Smith, power to the people, RAWA said Thanks for the message. We share your concerns about the owners and the direction of our club. Taking a stand about this, again, is something that the elected committee and some of our co-opted reps are discussing. This doesn't mean we're diving in to anything and we would now poll our members before making such a move. We didn't last time - constitutionally we didn't have to - elected members are their to lead and some of the basis of that decision was from our own interactions with the owners and our resulting judgements on how things were going. Whilst we suspect any protest would be backed by the vast majority we will still poll members on this matter should the committee decide its in the interests of the club and supporters to do so. We recently influenced the club to make a U-turn on their season ticket renewal and refund policy. However the original communication on this seems to have been the straw that broke the camels back for many supporters. We need active, collaborative fans on board with RAWA for this and just generally to run the organisation and be as representative of the fan base as any one entity can be, so thanks again for getting in touch. It might be beneficial to have a chat on the phone where we can discuss the ownership issue more freely.
Nice one mate. I am at the point where i would get on board with anything to drive these people out the club.
