I always used to choose Wigan to do well in the cup, and they never disappointed a few times. I expect Norwich to live up to the same expectations, albeit I've quite fancied Sheffield United chances this season, they look a tough side to beat, and you never know old Bruce might pull a surprise with Newcastle. The only 'big' club i picked was Chelsea, lamps seems to be doing well with what he's got going on there and the young kid as well.
Leicester City Newcastle United Sheffield United (Joker) Man United Might as well go for the unexpected ones with my current points
@brb If all football is suspended and the FA cup is out totally, does that mean this comp is null and void, or does it mean you win brb as it's your rules?
Been trying to build up the incentive to continue this, so here we go, I see Musty, PegLeg and myself had previously predicted, so I will still use those predictions unless they repost. The league has 10 members, so I will only reactivate this competition if I get half the participants predicting, so it requires two more predictions for the game to be reactivated. Otherwise I will void the competition, with no winner. So you have up until 5.30pm NEXT Saturday to post or amend predictions. 2 points for correctly predicting the winner of each game 4 points for correctly placing your joker against a winning team This gives everyone a chance of earning a maxium of 12 points. Please note a winning team is decided by FT or ET or Pens. No prizes for a draw! These are not in date/time order, they are still in their original order; Leicester City v Chelsea Sun 28/06 4pm BT Sport Newcastle United v Manchester City 28/06 6.30pm BBC 1 Sheffield United v Arsenal Sun 28/06 1pm BT Sport Norwich City v Manchester United Sat 27/6 5.30pm BBC1
Leicester. Newcastle (J) Sheffield United. Norwich. I've gone for all the favourites, at least that's what brb told me when he gave me the tip.
Well after round 6 DebbieA has smashed all the guys out the way, by storming to the top of the table with a MAXIMUM 12 points in this round! Musty closed the gap with a massive 10 points, and gioblues has levelled with brb's tally. As for grumpygit, I wish I could incorporate the sound that used to play on Family Fortunes, when someone got an answer wrong, in fact so wrong, he earned himself a very big ZERO points, I'm sure he's trying to steal bottom place off PegLeg I was hoping Resurgam's Norwich could pull off a shock, alas not to be. The names bolded are all the people that participated in this round. It was an interesting round, that gave everyone opportunity to play for top spot. I will write the rules for the next round, over the next few days. Thanks to everyone that participated again, and to those that didn't I absolutely understand as this season has been a mess and the whole footballing schedule thrown out! Scores on the board after round 6; 1. DebbieA 46 2. brb 44 2. gioblues 44 4. mustyfrog 42 5. Resurgam 41 6. geoffthegills 37 6. The Changing Man 37 6. Allbluelenny 35 8. grumpygit 32 10. The Gills Pegleg 28
A maximum of 12 points was allowed in the previous round, so to keep the competition fair, I will make 12 points available again. Pick your two winners = 5 points per team, and one joker = 2 points; Saturday 18th July 2020 Arsenal v Man City FA Cup Semi-Final 19:45 BT Sport 1 / BT Sport Extra 1 / BT Sport Ultimate Sunday 19th July 2020 Man Utd v Chelsea FA Cup Semi-Final 18:00 BBC One / BBC iPlayer
