Have always said I am a Sunderland fan not a football fan. Can't believe we are even discussing this.surely it won't be allowed to happen?
Surely Campbell wouldn't pass any fit and proper tests or provide the show of funds required? I know somehow Donald and Methven got through but now in hindsight, it may well have been down to their pal Rodwell being on the board.
Just got to look at Wigan, their new owners took over the club 2 months ago in the middle of this pandemic and has just put the club into administration....youve got to ask what the hell are the EFL doing in these tests?
Remember when the pools was popular. When the season finished you had to bet on the Australian leagues. As if you had any clue of the teams.....
What happened was me and my mate Scobe were bored as hell when the season finished so we chose two **** teams in the third division and they climbed up to division 1 over 4 or 5 seasons ( late 70s early 80s ) we had more luck with them than our teams ( Scobe’s is Leicester) bastard
Me too that would be it for me. Cherish the memories I have but if Sunderland were gone I would walk away from football.
I used to ‘follow’ Doveton - picked them as they were second division as we were at the time. Not looked at their progress for years now but they weren’t great!
Same here, couldn't care less about other clubs. Not interested in watching other football and never really have been. I am a Sunderland fan and without them I would be done with the game altogether.
I might be hijacking this thread regarding racism and BLM but it’s a good example of how the words that people use and think that they’re not racist when in fact they are. The term Abo is just as offensive to an indigenous Australian as the term nigger is to an African American.
True! Personally, I find the term 'mackem' offensive too. Never heard it when I was growing up so don't relate to it at all. Mind, a grown man having an avatar of a woman dressed as a schoolboy might also offend some -
