Don't care, had a few tins this evening and I'm loving it, Brucies BLACK AND WHITE ARMY! There is one man to whom I'll bend a knee and his name is Stevie!

Just to clarify before my ranting and rambling I don't expect anything more from this season it's surpassed what I thought would be our best case scenario (staying up by a few points) but read on if you love a bit of fantasy land. If not just be a mopey **** and bore me with your negativity.

If Spurs and Sheff U draw tomorrow* to finish off this round of games we'd be 4 points off 7th which is guaranteed UEFA football next season (unless Arsenal win the FA Cup - TROLLOLOLOLOL) and if City are barred from Europe 8th might be good enough to nick European football, with huge games in the next round of fixtures...
    NUFC (42 points) v West Ham (27)
    Sheff (45*) v Burnley (45)
    Arsenal (46) v Wolves (52)
    Tottenham (46*) v Everton (44)
    Palace (42) v Leicester (55)

If you look at the remaining fixtures and give each team XP (expected points) of 3 for teams below, 1 for teams within and 0 for teams above the group battling it out it looks mighty close:

7th ARSENAL: Wolves, Leicester, Tottenham, Liverpool, Villa, Watford - 7 points (53)
8th TOTTENHAM: Everton, Bournemouth, Arsenal, Newcastle, Leicester, Palace - 7 points (54*)
9th BURNLEY: Sheffield, West Ham, Liverpool, Wolves, Norwich, Brighton - 10 points (55)
10th SHEFFIELD: Burnley, Wolves, Chelsea, Leicester, Everton, Southampton - 5 points (50*)
11th EVERTON: Tottenham, Southampton, Wolves, Villa, Sheffield, Bournemouth - 10 points (54)
12th PALACE: Leicester, Chelsea, Villa, Man U, Wolves, Tottenham - 4 points (46)
13th NEWCASTLE: West Ham, Man City, Watford, Tottenham, Brighton, Liverpool - 10 points (52)

Of course football is a mental sport and can't be predicted or played out on paper with XG and XP but that also means that its not impossible to imagine we could pick up an unlikely victory alongside those results or another team drops a few against a lower team battling to stay up which could tilt us into Europe. Liverpool could play their kids or players who need an extra appearance to get to 10 to get a winners medal and we sneak a win to reach 55 points, beat Tottenham and all of a sudden we could be on 54 points instead of 52 and Arsenal and Everton both lose to Villa = Europe. It could come down to one or two massive results in amongst all of those 36 remaining games.

If we do it every member on this board has to get branded with Stevie's initials on your arse and get it out in fenwicks window. Photo evidence required!
Football is for dreaming, dream big!

I didn't want Bruce and was vocal about how i thought he was a step down from not only Rafa but alternative options.

I was wrong. He has done a very, very good job for which he doesn't get enough credit from the fans. We are closer to 3rd place than we are to relegation and we've started to play some of the best football I've seen in a handful of years. He has come across as genuine, humble and proud to be managing his hometown club.

If we get bought out and the fans chant to have him immediately replaced I'll be a bit ashamed to be honest. He wont deserve it and is making us a safe mid-table side under Ashley.

    I like him.

I'm very happy to admit I was in the (large) group of people who were wrong about him at the beginning of the season. He has done very well and full credit to him for that

I agree but I'd sack him as soon as the season was done if we get taken over. I wouldn't be shouting for it mind, but if I was the owner he'd be gone with a thank you.

****ish I know but no room for sentiment where we are heading if that happens. Its just too archaic in style to continue for me. I agree we are playing better football, and he has done a good job, but I've waited so long for us to be able to even compete with the other 19 teams financially, if we can beast them, I want us to and I want to know there are guarantees somewhat on the person managing it. Its wrong of course because these type of managers never get a shot.

I'd just be ruthless is all.

I am very much of this opinion if he reverts back to type. However, if he can keep us playing like we did against Bournemouth for the rest of the season, against all comers, then I wouldn't mind him staying on next season to see if he can kick on with the team
