Are we playing 442? If so, add that to the ever-growing number of formations we've used since November...
Interesting that Dele is dropped... he was very poor v West Ham, will be interesting to see how he responds
We've pretty much set up this way in both games post-lockdown no? Effectively a 4/4/1/1 or 4/2/3/1 with Dele, Lamela or Moura today pushing up next to Kane. I think Moura has been chosen today to try and use his pace and movement to pull the back 3 around and get in the spaces as their back 3 does do some interesting things positionally (anyone remember the obsession with Wilder's 'overlapping centre backs' earlier this season?), whereas we needed Lamela's intensity against United and Dele, who is probably the most balanced between the three, played against West Ham.
I wonder if Jose is going to do something unexpected tonight - maybe Lucas is going to play up top with Harry dropping in behind
SKY RANT just turned in to sky before the Spurs game and they are talking about ****ING LIVERPOOL Edit And Redknapp and sourness as pundits
Looks like an Ossie team to me. Sissoko and Lo Celso as our midfield feels like a gamble - but Son Bergwijn and Moura behind Kane looks exciting. Only formation I can see.
That’s as close to our best team with regards to form as it can be, only change would be Lamela in the 10 but no real complaints from me. Those three behind Kane will hopefully use their pace to cause Sheff problems.
VAR owes them something...so I can see a dodging Sheffield United penalty...a nailed on penalty for us waved away, them getting an offside in their favour and one against us... We is doomed I tells you... DOOMED
Promising moments so far, let down by Aurier and Sissoko’s inconsistency on the ball and though having those 3 behind Kane is great, we do miss having a slightly more creative player like Alli or Lamela in the hole, especially with GLC so deep.
Drinks break time. Pretty uneventful, so far. They started well, then we took control of the ball. Neither team creating much.
1-0 Sheffield United. Berge, typically. Got overloaded down our left and Son didn't do enough to recover it.
