Wolves. Played 3, won 3. Man U. Played 4, won 3, drawn 1. Don't get me wrong we've done well since the restart but this is a sympathy vote.
Maybe counts as June as that round started in June. Still not the best in there though. Think the Wolves guy will get it.
Wolves best Aston Villa, Bournemouth and West Ham Manchester United best Sheffield United, Norwich and Brighton, drew with Tottenham. Newcastle beat Sheffield United and Bournemouth and drew with Aston Villa Chelsea beat Leicester, Manchester City and Aston Villa but lost to west ham
Who cares. I like Bruce. Looks like he has a good sense of humour and the sort of guy who encourages players rather than criticises them. Bet he would be good fun to train with and play for. Think it was a master switch moving Longstaff forward in Bournemouth. He looks much better there than trying to play a holding role. As Pouchy said I thought that was the best I had seen our midfield play in a long time. Quick short passing that gives Shelvey time to play the killer passes he can play. Longstaff has been a disappointment most of the season - maybe Bruce has found his position.
His sense of humour will go when form hits rock bottom and starts blaming the fans dissent on the fact that he used to manage Sunderland
He had but the overall performance was, i think, his best. What Bruce has done a lot this year is put faith in players and given a lot of exposure to young players. There's a lot of talk about what we need to do to improve next season and I'd hope it could be build on a base of players who he has helped develop this year and should be even better next year as they're still good ages and learning from decent playing time (Longstaff x 2, ASM, Almiron, Joelinton - Willems and Lazaro if we sign them). I think he handles the younger players very well, Matty Longstaff has had 9 games for us this season and isn't being over-burdened nor sidelined. I'm not arguing Bruce is great, but i think he's better than average (there's Premiership managers I would like less!) and our fans still see him as being below average.
Again I don't disagree to a certain extent however Longstaff had played just as well in at least two games in a similar position and I believe he scored in both those games as well
the enemy fired it's primary weapons at stopping the takeover and the fall back attack is trying to ensure the Saudis fall at the first hurdle by giving Bruce the job and the money .
