CLASSIC ESCAPE 4/1 Newton Abbot 3:45
The good Doctor has picked this one up from Ireland for peanuts and I fully expect him to improve this horse beyond recognition. He likes the family a fair bit as he has this ones half brother in the yard also. Almost certain to go off shorter and I am super confident.

5:10 Leicester - Lua De Mel 7/1. Form reads 1122. Granted that was on the all weather and in lesser races. Also been off 116 days and this represents a first run on turf. However its the only runner for a trainer that has had 10 winners and 9 places from 32 runners this year which isn't too bad a record. Sensible thing to do would be to probably watch its run without having a bet tomorrow, see how it goes and catch it next time if showing anything but wheres the fun in that. 7/1 is a decent price in a smallish field in a wide open looking race that does look lacking in any real quality. I'll go win only as the price and size of field prohibit a worthwhile each way.

4.50 Newton Abott - Lucca Lady 12/1, I fancy this one to run a big race.

Will have a dabble on Sticks tip and also put it in a double with the good doctors other runner at the meet in the 2.10 Hidden Glen 7/2.

Small stakes on Nigel Hawkes 3.

    Good luck all. :emoticon-0148-yes:

morning campers , have done Cheltenham De Vaige at newton abbot 4 40 , and Bronze River 7 15 leicester , both 4/1 , in form stables , FOB can ready one first run after a break , balding seems to be having a hot streak , this is easier for Bronze River .....good luck if you play <laugh>

1245 Davidson has put Dennis back in the plate on Greengage . The pair were here at c/d lto and although coming 4th it was a respectable run considering the break . Dennis is 3wins 1place from 5 outings with Greengage and 12s looks exeptionally fair.
220 billy roberts looks to be on a decent mark going into this and the previous c/d race looks to have thrown up a few winners . Dennis looks a decent booking 9/2 looks fair .
555 shawaamekh gets a 7lb claimer and s drop back in trip from Carrol whoch could prove a positive and decicive move. My concern would be Zak going for it too soon but after looking at his track stats i am willing to take a chance at 6s .
430 i am going to side with Dennis again on round the island at 6s

Fergal does very well with horses after a long lay off (7 from 39 since 2015), as such I have backed the awfully named Cheltenam De Vaige today. He isn't an imposing horse, but you would like to think that he is very well handicapped. The yard have started the season well and this horse could give them another winner.

Darling Maltaix is a frustrating horse to follow, he clearly has ability but he didn't finish his races as well as he should last season. Due to that, he is very well handicapped and today fresh could be the best time to catch him. I think he could hack up on the bridle today.

In terms of well handicapped horses, the horses from last season at Ben Pauling must be well handicapped, Hidden Glen has gone to the good Dr, and has been supported in the market, whilst in the same race Pauling has For Luck who must be well treated too.

Shareef Star is better than the bare form of his debut over hurdles. He shouldn't have been 16/1 this morning against Ashutor who is a rascal to say the least.

Finally Kendelu is interesting for the forums third favourite jumps trainer, he showed glimpses of promise last season and is another on a basement handicap mark. He was too big this morning at 18/1 and I still think he is value at double figure odds.

Have to be careful today! Have always found Newton Abbot to be a desperately tricky track, especially the hurdles course, with that short run-in from the last obstacle. Therefore, would be perfect if Sam Twiston-Davies has his horse right there at the last hurdle? Some darn good jumping at NA, during the Summer months especially. Classic Escape now 100/30, which is the best I could get, but that'll do. Good luck to Stick, and to us!

Strangely today, I have also found the Flat course, Pontefract, to be a tricky one too, but that's just me, I guess! :(

Nice to be back jump racing after the long break. I 've been lurking for a couple of weeks getting back into it and seen some very fine tipping on display recently. I like the look of Grapevine in 4.20 NA possibly a touch high in the weights and a few poor recent runs but returning to good ground for the first time since winning a year ago at a much higher level. Not one to have a huge amount of confidence in but 12-1 looks good value on a day where little stands out for me.

Stick has put up Classic Escape and not for the first time Nassau has gone against him with Ratoute Yutty.

Just done a cheeky little reverce forcast in the hope that Nass system holds up against the bumper king

My worry with Ratoute Yutty is the trip, but hopefully they can just hold her nicely in position and that she does stay it well enough. It's interesting to see that Harry hasn't ridden her for quite a while. Hopefully he can get more out of her here.
