I listened to the commentary too (Burnsy & Swanny) and it did sound like we carved out quite a few scoring chances. The problem is our defence seems very weak & error prone. The form of the teams around us indicate 6-7 points from 5 games may be enough ? It'll be bloody close.

Yes that sounds about right .
Like some have said as it stands this squad will really struggle next year .
In the other hand what will the landscape be next season ?

I've incorporated this into the O/P, but looks like we need Wigan to be docked those 12 points if the bottom 9 clubs mirror their previous 5 game form in the last 5 games of the season !! Of course - that's a major assumption, and the universe of football is fickle. :emoticon-0107-sweat:emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0106-cryin

I can't help feeling that our defence will get us relegated, which beggars the question, what does former Scunny centre half legend Cliff Byrne, actually do? Other than make the tea and tell Terry how great he is.

Looks like the late goal we gave up to allow Birmingham to tie 3-3 may come back to haunt us !!

In addition to Luton and Barnsley, I think Hudds will also finish below us irrespective of the Wigan situation

Lets hope so. I see our away match next week @ Wigan as a critical point.

Here ya go, I've had a sneaky squint at the final placings (you do know it's all rigged right?)

    Stoke
    Charlton
    Brum
    Boro
    Huddersfield
    City
    Barnsley
    Luton
    Wigan

Luton vs Barnsley tonight...the good news is that both can't win!
Charlton go to high riding Brentford!
    Udders head to Reading.
Could be a decent night!!! But knowing city they'll **** it up tomorrow.

A draw in Luton v Barnsley game would be ideal. Losses for Charlton (local derby mind) and Udders will really help.
Lets hope it's not "Tits Up" in Bristol tomorow.

It'll look pretty grim for us tonight if Charlton win.

Like the next guy. I love clutching at straws, but we're down. Luton will do a number on us on Saturday. That could be 3 or 4. They've got some momentum and fight, we've got nothing in the tank and no desire or interest. Most of them know they won't be here next year, so can't wait to piss off.

Charlton now winning at Birmingham, we're pretty much down if it stays that way.

That's us gone, no way we've got 4 points in us. I mean we were 80 90 percent down anyway but that'd proper ****ed it if Charlton hold on
