    Can't think of anything original.

Just post day to day work and leisure bollocks that look interesting.

    I'll start us with this.

You're not wrong. Gotta be ****in mental to do this ****. Hard work but rewarding.
Himalayan balsam, invasive non native species. Stops the native plants from growing so it has to go.
Been doing a few hours every day for the last month using one of these.

That stuff can destroy walls as well. Technically it’s more damaging than Japanese knotweed though is easier to eradicate where knotweed isn’t. You should be mindful in areas like that for giant hogweed as well. As if you get the sap of it on your skin you will be ****ed for years.

The balsam is a pussy cat compared to knotweed. You can have an eight foot high plant that has a root ball the size of your fist.
The knotweed is a bastard to get rid of. Did my training at the start of this year to spray or inject with glyphosate. Takes a good two or three treatments to kill it. The lockdown ****ed up my plans for the knotweed.
We don't have any giant hogweed on this part of the river, its mainly down towards Durham and Chester le Street.

The balsam is bad for the riverbank as it has such a small root system and yet it dominates and weakens the native plants that have stronger root systems that knit the river bank together preventing erosion.

Gotta say Banksy stuff just reminds me of Keep Calm And Carry On tat now, like his art should just find its way into B&M bargains and we should all move on.
