I get we need to mark zonally, but why is Lewis the one challenging a CB whilst the taller Vrancic has 2 yards of space to the nearest player.

Now Tettey gives away another free kick.

We are bullied in every game - we are much too lightweight all over the park and our lack of physicality is painfully apparent.

 

Physical game so far, but the ref should have swallowed his whistle a couple of times.

 

Lewis is too light weight.

Tettey spends more time running towards our goal than the oppositions.

 

Still, we've got Klose, Godfrey, Stiepermann, Tettey and Vrancic on the pitch, which is more height than we've had for a while. It shouldn't be so painfully easy.

 

Pukki,once again looks lost???

 

If everyone showed as much fight as Argos we wouldn't be in this position.

Attacking fluency seems better to me? Buendia more involved, ball held high enough up the pitch for the full backs to join in properly.

 

Tettey really risking a second booking.

 

Vrancic & Stiepermann hardly grasping their chance with both hands.

 

Stieperman and Vrančić have brought a new feel to our play though. Pukki and Buendia look better because of this. Too intricate in attack though, and Watford's more direct style looks more dangerous.

 

Agreed and good strength.

He is too greedy on his decision making though. If he had stepped over that late pass, Lewis was in behind.

 

I’ve been one of Stiepermanns biggest critics in the past and he doesn’t look great today but he’s hardly played any minutes this season let alone some the break, I’m prepared to give him a chance. Vrancic’s passing has been good I think it’s provided a dimension we have been misinformed in recent weeks.

 

We always look weak when up against thuggishness. It’s quite clear that’s Watford’s game plan.

 

The reason is Stiepermann; you can see he's lacking game time, but he provides a hub for our attacking play. The difference is palpable.

 

He’s getting no help from the midfield in front of him I reckon

 

I agree, Robbie. He's getting involved and looks dangerous at times.
